This is on Netflix. Pretty one of a kind. I've seen it a few times with different people; get drawn in to its train-wreck characters and cool soundtrack.
8/10

I was quite surprised by that movie in a good way.

i almost vomited. piece of shit CGI fest. was good at first, but the whole last 1/3 was SO bad.

late to the game, but drag me to hell -- 4/10 would have been 3/10 but i saw sam raimi did it and that explained some things. but the goatface? seriously?

The Call 0/10, shittiest movie i've seen since Skyline. Watched it with parent or it would have been turned off long before. SO shitty.

Letters From Iwo Jima 9/10. Stands up with Saving Private Ryan as one of the best War movies ever. Focuses much more on the human aspect than the uber violence. It along with Flags Of Our Fathers are the best things that Eastwood has ever directed.

Man of Steel... 6/10... should have been called Meh of Steel.... they could totally change the title of the movie and all the characters name and it would be the same thing... it was a great movie just not a good Superman movie... as an actor/screenplay writer friend of mine said, by text book writing it was a perfect movie, it just had no soul...

This is the end.

8/10 sober

10/10 wasted

I laughed out loud constantly.

MAMA...7.5 for making my son scream like a bitch.

Overall not a bad flick...just got corny in the end and the younger daughter was the creepiest thing of the whole movie. No CGI needed..

Star Trek Into Darkness: 10/10

Man of Steel: 6/10

World War Z: a conflicted 6/10. It exceeded my expectations -- which were very low -- but it still missed the mark.

Yeah, I felt the same way about it.

I'm a big Del Toro fan, but this wasn't his strongest work. Of course, mediocre from him is still more entertaining to me than most stuff Hollywood puts out.

"I got something from that hooker in Vegas."
"WHAT?!"

Agreed with the Slave Leia moment. :thu:  In the extras she said everybody was nervous about asking her to do it and when they brought her the idea she got all excited about it. Really in all the extras she seems like a goofball.

That is an awesome movie all the way around. It sat on the shelf for a long time because the studio was insisting they cut all references to the one dude being sick and the guys that actually made the movie said hell no and would rather see it rot that have it's soul removed. I can't even imagine it without the illness. What would be the point?

Oh, speaking of Kristen Bell's butthole, her ass in that scene where McBride mouths off and she jumps across the table put the beat down on him was SPECTACULAR. :fap:

"You want to take your shirt off." *WAVES*

Elephant Man - 9/10: Not an uplifting movie by any means, and that ending scene is  every time. I hadn't actually seen this since I was a kid, but it's every bit as good as I remember. That poor dude had a SHIT life, yet somehow retained more humanity than a lot of us on the inside.

Operation Desert Stormy (XXX version) - 7/10: A little on the long side for an adult feature (3 hours, not counting extended sex scenes on the bonus disc), but they did a good job of pacing on the story side. St. Croix may be the funniest lead man ever. The hatred he and his wife have for each other at the beginning of the movie is spectacularly played. Jenna Haze as the science/nerd chick is :thu: . Ron Jeremy as Hussein :thu: . And the boss ending up on a gay island getaway and getting smackdowned by a watermelon to the head because the guy hitting on him found out he's straight was HILARIOUS. Not the type of movie you'd wanna watch if you fast forward adult movies to "the good parts," but highly entertaining if you're up for an entire evening of comedic action, interspersed with some actual sex scenes.

My wife doesn't understand why I find her attractive. I'm trying to understand how someone could NOT find her attractive? We usually agree on who's hawt and who's not, but this one just baffles her.

I'd wear her like a facemask though. She's hot, she's goofy, and it seems like she knows how to be one of the boys when it's called for. What's not to like?

I like the way she looked in that movie. I like dark haired chicks. Im part of a minority that prefers brunettes over blondes & redheads.

Would love a video of Bobbi Starr & Kimberly Kane giving her some debouchery training

Oh my. The very idea.

And you never know, she may be up for it. Or down for it, as the case may be.

Downloading Nancy = Fell asleep/10

What I saw it seemed alright as a movie. Adhemar plays a good dickhead. The hired dude was well played. I think maybe I've watched a few too many dark and depressing movies lately cause it just sorta sent me to, "seen this before" snooze zone. I drifted in and out a few times but eventually conked out completely and didn't wake up until the big finale scene where he's yelling at her. Maybe I'll try it again sometime, but seeing as it's almost impossible for a movie to put me to sleep, I don't hold high hopes a second viewing will go better.

Life of Pi- 7/10 objective 5/10 subjective (totally not my thing and just sort of kept going and going and going)

Its an Ang Lee movie, so its pretty visually stunning. The CGI gets old because I'm crotchety and annoyed with CGI anymore. It didn't ruin the movie for me as it does with some movies, but I get tired of it.

It drug for me after he got on the boat. Yeah, things kept happening, but good lord, you're on a boat, trapped on the ocean, I get it already. The movie is only 2 hours long but felt longer.

Still, its well done and I'm just critical of stuff like this because its not really my thing. I mean, I gave it a 7.

There were just some things that annoyed me about it because they were gimmicky or poorly done in an otherwise well made movie. It seems a LOT longer than 2 hours though.

I loved that movie and I hate the majority of movies I see these days for some reason. Criminally under rated

Have you seen any of Anderson's others? The Royal Tenenbaums is probably his best and best-known, but Rushmore, The Darjeeling Limited, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox were all great as well, and share that style and feel that are very uniquely his.

Chronicle - 6/10
Kid buys a video camera to film his dad abusing him, ends up becoming a super hero along with two buddies due to some alien shit or something in the ground. Of course, one of them turns and blah blah blah. But here's the thing, this movie COULD have been excellent if they would have gotten past the gimmick of the single camera bit. This was not a low budget movie by any means. I totally get opening with the kid buying the camera and starting to film. But once it got into the action and shit was going on all over, switch to real cameras. Or hell, just open with the single cam and then switch to real cameras. I get tired of directors trying to find excuses to keep all action scenes blurred messes of color that are utterly undiscernable from each other. It had an OK story, but the single cam and the stupidity of some of the characters was a little much to swallow.

Miami Vice - Negative 25/10
Utter piece of shit. I wouldn't have even been tempted to watch this but the brother in law borrowed it to us and told us it was alright. Don't know why we'd trust his word on that as he'd led us astray many times before. There's ZERO to draw you into this movie, from the intro on. The intro starts with a, "who the fuck and why would I care?" The next scene kicks into still not telling you who the fuck, and still not giving you a reason to care. The only character they built at all they killed immediately. The rest of the movie was just blah. Doesn't even qualify as a good background noise movie. It's not aggravating, it's not so bad it's good, it just sort of exists. And that's really it.
