Wow, that sucks bout the maps!

Yeah man, I remember playing any shooters with just a console & tv speakers or even 5.1, it just wasnt that great. Headphones were a must!
Now Im playing on PC with my monitors in close proximity & its fine, or I can throw on the headphones. Direction is great with either, but a headphones make it a little easier to hear nearby footsteps..

Good: optimized, runs really well, sounds exactly the same and looks pretty close, you can set it so that doors open automatically, better loot is automatically grabbed, attachments are automatic, auto on ARs/SMGs is automatically enabled, movement is good, if you play this game and know the controls the whole thing is actually pretty intuitive. Aim assist is enabled by default but you can shut it off.

Bad: it’s rough at first on a smaller screen, and if you don’t have a giant phone it’s gonna bug you. Giant battery hog; I played a 6 minute game starting with my phone on 27% and by the end of the 6 minutes I was on 1%.

All in all it’s pretty cool, but not for me. I’ll stick to sitting in a chair doing it on a 27” monitor lol.

its fun on 12.9" iPad pro. I don't mind it on the iphone though.

Post up what you think, it’s chaotic as fuck.

And dude I know it’s supposed to be tiny, but the shock of seeing how small it was from the plane was amazing.

Quick review after one round: I like it.
Higher quality loot - yes!
No clothes drops - yes!
Being able to out run the latter circles - yes!
Spectate killer - yes!
Dynamic fog - yes!

New event announced: http://steamcommunity.com/games/578080/ ... 0293743014

Tequila Sunrise is a new Event Mode that’ll run for just 72 hours. TL;DR: It’s shotguns and melee weapons ONLY, on Miramar, for four-man squads.

As much as I love the mobile version I wish it was available for the mac.

damn... that sounds like fun....

on another note... the more i play with headphones the more I realize I've been at a serious disadvantage using my home theater system! I had a below that average drop, got a decent loadout gun wise with a Mini14 and UMP but next to no ammo and a level 1 vest and level 2 helmet, yet because I could be WAY more aware of my surroundings I was able to get 6 kills and come in 2nd... if I had a better vest and a couple more grenades that Chicken Dinner would have been mine.

Yep, cans are pretty much a requirement for pubg. I forgot to use mine last night and the difference was pretty noticeable. I still mugged a few door campers though.

Watching some vids of War Mode; it looks badass.

Pick a class, and spawn with that class’s good stuff; Soldiers get an M4, pistol, grenade and bandages, and off you go. Grab loot off the guys you kill, first team to a certain score wins. You respawn after a certain time; if you live long enough you don’t have to wait.

Massive air drop rate, they’re all in the circle you’re in and there’s like 3 at a time.

Fuckin sniper class spawns with Kar98s with 4x scopes, auto pistols and wearing ghillie suits lol

Kind of mixed feelings about it; watching it feels like watching COD, but whatever. Anything that makes the game more fun to play is cool; tired of stealth? WAR MODE

Got into a few of the War games; that is pure insanity. NOTHING like TDM in COD; that shit is a blast, complete turnaround from normal PUBG.

I’d like to see them implement that as an extra game mode all the time, be good practice for people for movement and combat.

Caught dat chicken last night in War mode. Sniper class, we were all running around this super tiny area blasting at each other at point blank range with Kar98s lol

Good sniper practice for no scope tho...

Is this mode doable for squad? We should try that tonight.

Don’t think so; the chances of us all getting into the same server on the same team are pretty infinitesimal lol

That one was just a random public game I jumped into while I was waiting on Kris’s slow ass last night before you got on.

I did some messing with the settings while spectating my buddy playing. My lowly 960 can pull off ultra AA and medium post processing if I drop the draw distance to medium and screen scale to 100. This gives me a nice crisp image at a rock solid 60 fps. I then dug around and it turns out that there isn't any real benefit to maxing draw distance as it still renders players up to 900m anyway and any obfuscating elements will be rendered when you ADS. A few of the top/pro streamers run with very low draw distance just for the added smoothness in performance.

It certainly looks prettier and runs nice n smooth now and as a result my play has improved :D

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is making do with a peasant card :(

Big update today chaps:
https://steamcommunity.com/games/578080 ... 0318992139

Blue zone delay time has been reduced. You’ll be given less time to linger between phases.
The maximum movement speed of the blue zone has been reduced. The blue zone will move more slowly toward the end of the game.
The damage inflicted by 7th, 8th, and 9th blue zones has been increased.
Except for the first blue zone, the probability of creating an extreme safe zone (one far away from the center of the previous circle) has been reduced by 30%.
The final blue zone will narrow down to the center instead of narrowing down to a random spot, and the total wait time including the blue zone inactive time has been reduced. (195 seconds to 90 seconds)
As the end of the match approaches, the safe zone will increasingly favor areas with land over areas with water.
On Erangel specifically, the first safe zone will now be revealed 30 seconds earlier.
On Miramar specifically, players can now see the first safe zone while flying in the airplane. (We may or may not carry this over to the next live update. We want your feedback about this change.)
In-game clothing spawns have been removed from all maps. Other item spawn balance remains the same.

Also Savage is back on the experimental server next week and key sign up starts soon if you missed it:

Cool that they took out the clothes, it’s about time.

Not cool that the blue damage for the end circles is increased, we don’t need to die any faster lol

Also not cool that it’s going to stay in the center; everyone will just camp the middle.

oh god.... I hope they bring the no Clothes deal to XBox ASAP!!!!!!!!

also... Xbox got a "major" update yesterday or day before,... the messed up thing is one of the issues they said they fixed was when your vehicle would collide with a mystery spot and badly damage you, never reallllly experienced that TILL AFTER the update...

They'll hopefully rework any annoyances it brings up but if the circle speed is the same as it was on the savage CES then you can at least outrun the blue. If it makes the midgame a bit punchier I'm all for it.

I kinda like that you can't out run the circle, this way you can't just camp on the edge and move in... you need to be moving, keeps things spicy IMO
