i actually agree. not liking ZZ top would indicate not liking all things manly... like hot naked bitches giving blow jobs. Therefore it would be safe to surmise that not liking ZZ top means you're gay... and untrustworthy.

Even I like ZZ Top, and I fucking hate EVERYTHING that guitar players are supposed to love.

And if you wanna get into some real shit, you could probably skip the 4th and 5th albums and go straight to Deguello. Not that the 4th and 5th albums are bad, but Deguello is a more solid album front to back IMO. IMO the fifth album (Tejas) is probably their weakest album next to Antenna.

No likey the Tejas? I remember being a bit disappointed when it came out, mainly because it so much different from the earlier stuff. A couple of years ago I went back and listened to it from front to back and now its one of my favorites. It mixes well with a little green. ;)

I don't dislike it its just not as strong as Deguello or the first three. But I still rock it occasionally. :D

That album also has Sure Got Cold After THe Rain Fell which is one of my favorite slow ZZ tunes. And occasionally I'll sing Francine but change it to Amy, y'know, for the lady. :cop:

ZZ Top is amazing. And one of the coolest and most underrated things about them is that in spite of their image as grizzled Texas bluesmen, they are one of the most fearlessly experimental bands in rock. Their range is right up there with The Beatles, Floyd, or The Clash.

My first concert was ZZ Top, with Jakyl as the opener. Top played great, but the set list was kind of :wank: Too much Eliminator/Afterburner cheese. :bor: Not their best era, IMO.

I loves me some pre-Eliminator top

Whoa Whoa Whoa

Lets not bring Steely Dan into this :rawk:

I really need to get some of their albums. I have the greatest hits, one of the first albums I ever bought actually from Columbia or BMG. Love it.

But I should really get some of their full albums.

So good.

On some of the older greatest hits, the remixing/mastering sucked. The newer remasters are great, as I mentioned above.

Yeah, this would've been like 1993 or something. It always sounded fine to me, but I'm used to it sounding that way now.

I'll keep that in mind if I go to pick some up. :thu:
