Apparently, it's the other guy who is at fault for buying it.

I'm just glad this guy has been exposed, hopefully reducing the chances of someone else getting screwed and/or put in danger. :wank:

Did anybody save the pics? I didn't get a chance to see them, and it looks like they have all been taken down.

The sound is good because he stole it and it is a clone of Cameron's Jose High Gain amp! Everything else is an abortion and this "tattoo artist" turned engineer/technician has no business building amps. There were bare connections that could have killed someone. The soldering was the worst I've ever seen in 20 years in engineering with cold solder joints, blobs, frayed wires, wire insulation that was burnt through an not head shrinked, parts incorrectly hooked up, horrible tolexing, wavy lines in cabinet, loose piping, PVC porting, stupid 4x12 cab handle on top, stupid cup holder on a high voltage amp, ugly layout, color scheme and gold chicken heads that don't match anything...

On can go on an on. In the end, the guy has no business in even attempting to go into this business. Further, his word is shit and vowed not to and not in it for money. He has no idea about engnieering or what the amps really are doing, only cutting and pasting things together.

Since you requsted gut shots....enjoy! "...and remember, you buy cheap, you GOT cheap!" Pay a real tech/engineer to build you something...and guarantee their work.

Great description Equ1nox, that pretty much sums up the Billy Blades amps. The only thing you left out was the gobs and gobs of silicone everywhere  .

What a thread that was. Makes Charveldan look like Stephen Hawking. Can't believe no one has been seriously hurt from his "amp" builds. Arrogance with a delusion of actual abilities is frightening.

It always amazes me when these guys want to tell "their side of the story"

News flash: your product IS your side of the story. It tells everything we need to know.

Billy, I 've found that posting naked in the whirlpool drinking Scotch makes me concentrate more on what I want to do as far as guitar building! Try that sometime! A mind is a terrible thing! Wait, I think it was "a mind is a terrible thing to waste"? Oh, screw it; mine is gone from too many concerts from the Warehouse in New Orleans in the '70's!!

Black Oak Arkansas; ZZ Top, Bowie, Allman Bros, Foghat, Humble Pie, Doobie Bros, Procol Harum, King Crimson, Wishbone Ash, and, a few hundred more . You could get in free if you brought a piece of carpet to get in! There was a lot of smoke in there; something must have been burning with the electrical?
