EXACTLY!! Actually my boss is pretty good at not doing that because we've been working together for 15 years and she knows I get shit done. But her bosses are crazy micromanagers and obviously some of that trickles down to me. But not anymore after today. Conference call to quit starts in 19 minutes  I made sure I invited all the upper micro managers. And I just smoked another fat one and washed it down with a Monster Ultra Energy drink so I will be both high AND hyper.

Well you're much younger than me (I think we're 14 years apart?), at 34 I was nowhere near making this type of decision.
I'm going to chill out a while but eventually I want to find things to do, but it will be things I enjoy. For example, I really want to connect with another raptor rescue center to volunteer to work with owls again.
I'd also love to get an unpaid apprenticeship at a large recording studio so really learn sound engineering once and for all.
So I won't just be seating at home, that would drive me crazy too, but I'll just look for things I want to do without worrying about the money.

I think 15 years, I'm turning 33 this summer.

Yeah, that's a fair point. I really love my job right now but it's new so it's still the honeymoon. I would definitely have to expand my hobbies if i tapped out of the workforce.

I'm stoked that you can do that tho man, it's awesome.
