Probably because that door is used the most.

It’s the rear drivers side. Oft overlooked

My bad. Thought it was the driver door.

Nothing about them makes sense, and they're endless money pits. $2200 for tires because the old ones were too small, $3k for a lift because the new tires rub, $1000 for winch because the new tires/lift put it further in peril off-road, $500 for... you get the idea lol.

After all that you realize you need a daily driver because the stupid jeep gets shit gas mileage and has zero practicality.

Welcome to the club!

I want a Wrangler but this is pretty much why I don’t get one. I drive a Tacoma and love it. Maybe when it’s all paid off I’ll get a Jeep as a secondary vehicle.

I love the aesthetic of Wranglers, Rubicons, Saharas, those styles of Jeep too, but will never get one simply because I have no need for one. I don't do any offroading, so... :idk:

My father in law has a blue old school CJ from like...I want to say 1978? That thing climbs like a mountain goat.

I'm not a "Jeep guy", but I'm impressed with the reliability and value. They aren't perfect, but I'd have to spend $10K more to get the same level of features and tech in another brand...

Yes, you are. Re-read your post.

Tacomas are bad ass. Significantly better as a daily and a cool truck to boot.

Completely understand. For what you’re doing you made the right choice. Great looking ride hommie

Yeah, they’re pretty slick. My wife was leasing her 4Runner and she wanted the new Bronco (not the dumb Sport model) but they were pretty hard to get so she just ended up buying out her 4Runner lease. I love the way the 4Runner drives over the Tacoma. The motor is beefier and it’s geared better. Either one is a great ride though.

if you live where it snows, go to Home Depot or Lowe's and get a couple cans of Fluid Film ($9-$10/can), hit a car wash with underspray (or get a underside pressure washer attachment), let it dry for a day, then treat anything metal underneath with the Fluid Film (except exhaust and brakes). get a cheap-ass tarp from Harbor Freight to put down to catch any drips. do this every year before winter/salt hits the roads.

both our cars still look like new underneath, a 2015 and a 2018. the underside of the last car i had before i started using FF looked like it sat on the bottom of the ocean - horrible corrosion.

should be easy on a Jeep, i have to do it on a low-ass sports coupe  just jack up one side if you need to, spray as much as you can reach, then jack up the other side.

I’m a big Toyota fan so totally agree on the 4 runner. They’re worth the price.

I love the Bronco too but yeah they’re way too overpriced right now. I parked next to one the other day and they’re massive. My jeep has the same size tires as their Sasquatch package but the bronco is just bigger.

Got the door fixed. The rust there was VERY superficial. Used some 80 grit sandpaper, and the rust came right off. There was some under the edges of the factory paint, and that flaked off and exposed a little more rust, but the sandpaper took care of that. Sanded it fine, then got it with satin primer. Pretty certain I got it all. Thanks for all the input.

Yeah, I'm a fan. My wife loves it too. The previous owner customized it some with window tinting plus the WeatherTech floor mats. It's much nicer than a compact SUV has any right to be, really. It's at least the nicest Jeep Compass that I've ever seen. The trick now is keeping pollen off of the finish because trees are ejaculating everywhere. It's maddening.
