Welcome to the internet.

The discourse around Star Wars is hilarious to me.

I frequently poked fun at one of my friends for being a Star Wars nerd.
Now after watching the Madalorian and currently watching Boba Fett, I'm fully on board.

There are 12 people in my department at work. I am the second least into Star Wars of 12. One of the guys has every single light saber ever made that was sold commercially. He has duplicates for sale on Offer Up, etc. I don't feel so bad about the jab, or whatever it was. One of the guys is seriously into Marvel. When I told him that I liked the first Venom movie, he went into a 3 hour diatribe about all the things that the movie got wrong. 3 hours on a 2 hour movie. Anyways, I just like a good entertaining yarn.

i like it - an uncomplicated space western.
too many shows with complicated plots and 50 characters to keep track of ... the Mando and Boba episodes are an easy watch i can just sit back and enjoy.
i've liked Star Wars since i saw the first movie in the theater as a kid, but i don't get too crazy into the canon/physics/engineering of the make-believe space world.

Agreed. First episode or two was pretty sparse but it got great by the end. It is certainly dependent on the involvement of the Mandolorian and Grogu (as well as the rest of the "universe" that I am old enough to be particular about but not nerdy (in that way) to care) and that's ok.
