was never a cat person, until i got one for my wife. I'll be a mess if something happens to our weirdo.

You have my most sincere condolences. We had to euthanize our cat Nala in January due to a rare form of cancer in her inner ear, and we have honestly been miserable since then. She was literally perfect in every way, and possibly the most peaceful, loving soul I've ever known. She was our best friend. Not even pretending or throwing a macho strong chin out there on this one, when she left, she took a big part of me with her. Losing a companion like that is beyond awful. It's like losing a family member.

I am very, very sorry, and I wish peace and healing for you. Rest well, Angus.

as a cat lover and Father of many cats over the years nothing hurts more than their passing . But what helps getting over the sorrow is a new cat . So many poor little cats in this world need a loving forever home . Go get one .

Cuteness with the potential new Kitty. We adopted two back in October. They were found in a bar as babies and thought to be about 5 months old then. We only really went for one, but the rescue threw in his brother for free. So now we have 3. The oldest cat, Panda, she’s about 5 and keeps em in check, despite being smaller than both.

I think her name is Brandy. Either way it will be almost certainly be changed.

Losing a pet is NEVER easy, i was a mess when i lost my dog a few years back - loved that little loyal SOB. You wont replace the pet or the great memories, you are just giving a new pet some much needed love and attention

I think most Orange/ginger cats are males, the fact you have a female is a bit different. My girlfriend has 1 and hes adorable, fantastic cat, if shes a female i think shes kinda rare for a ginger - either way shes a cutie

New kitty was purring before I left for work. But she was still skittish. Pretty sure we have a name for her. But it isn't set in stone yet.
