Looks killer! Surprised at the price, $39,900 - $69,900 is in the ballpark of a typical pickup.

What's the charging station situation where you live? In the Seattle area they are everywhere. I want an electric car because it makes parking much easier; pretty much everywhere has multiple stations or parking spots reserved just for electric vehicles.

pretty non-existent here lol

i heard in CA people were using their electric cars to power their houses during the intentional black outs.

The previous owner of my house wired 220V into the garage. I think this looks a little long for my garage, but this would be great. Definitely affordable.

Kind of shocked at the price, figured it’d be more.

Was ambivalent this morning, just looked at the one pic. Fuck it, I dig it. I’d take one.

Well, the beautiful thing about a $100 refundable deposit is that it is refundable. Read into that what you will.

It's idiotic, impractical and will never sell for the advertised price. The only people that will buy it are the stupid rich for bragging rights. Musk overhypes nearly every land-based vehicle he's involved with and they fall far short (after substantial delays) of the promises. He should stick to rockets and ego-stroking. He's really good at those two things...

BTW, I think the new VW bus looks awesome as well. I want both.

Agreed, i REALLY want this thing. Once you see it on the road I think it will grow on people.

What makes me like it;
1. Hardened stainless steel -> Goodbye scratches and rust
2. Almost no moving parts
3. Has a fraction of the parts of any truck: A regular car has about 30000 parts - the Tesla model3 has 700, guessing the Cybertruck has under 2000)
4. Free charge at most malls here in Canada / no fuel cost -> trucks cost ALOT to run here
5. Looks like a tank, completely different league from the other trucks, makes them look like they all try too hard to look 'pretty'

If I get to test drive it at some point and like it, I would fully consider purchasing one as my next primary vehicle. The only thing I imagine might be shitty is finding parking spots - possibly shitty blind-spots as well.

I bet it could have pulled the Ford 30 miles and then the Ford would have to tow it back to the Diesel Power Recharging Station. To space age for me
