but it's a tough sell to rebuild inner city balmer just because.. well.. it's not a state priority over the wealthy beach towns, montgomery county and it's DC riches, and anywhere the money is.

same goes for every other inner city in the country.

Wow fretless that's some tough news, mojo bro - but it sounds like you channeled it to something positive

There are many reasons for decay in inner cities, drugs is a MAJOR issue -- However Seattle is a uber wealthy city and to have the police almost "stand down" is assanine, im not saying put the tanks in street but my goodness clean some of this shit up. With that said I don't understand why some people think its a good idea to import MORE poor and uneducated people from other countries, these areas are already stressed and importing MORE people does what exactly.. Besides compete with those on the entry level job pay scale and the lower skill area job market, how does it benefit the community?? It stresses schools, the system, hospitals and other services, etc,

Is it for the census? the house of representatives? For federal funding from uncle Sam? Special interests? etc......... I TRULY don't understand this line of thinking by many people who think this is a great idea for communities that are ALREADY hurting. I really think these are LEGIT questions that don't get asked enough

I know its not a 1 solution type issue and very complex, but at the very least good leadership and vision and would be a good start

It's really just an extension of 'oooh - I've gotta save this puppy!!!'

But combined with NIMBY (or at least neighborhood) when it comes right down to it.

It’s good to meet people who grew up with a very challenging hand dealt and still come out as genuinely good people.

You’re a good dude, my dude.
