If her bosses did indeed care about such things without the public outrage, why would they hire her to begin with? They knew who Roseanne was well before this tweet.

I think they fired her before the public outrage had fully ignited, because it was personal. You are convinced that left outrage will affect the election. I think you're confusing me for someone I'm not. (a conservative) I'm a liberal who's sick of these kind of tactics from my team because they do more ultimate harm than good.
Ironically Roseannes been the under fire from the same style of outrage but from conservatives back when she did that national performance years back.

I hope you don't think I've gotten emotional with you. I do have emotions on this issue, but I'm trying to channel it in a healthy way. I've been volunteering and getting the tips of my toes wet in politics at the local level.

Totally agree. It fit the story line they developed last season, and Mary Steenburgen was a great addition to the cast if she is going to be a recurring character. Haters gonna hate, regardless of how they killed Roseanne's character off. I loved her character, but the show is still strong enough without her to remain relevant.
