There's always Jacksonville. I never thought I'd see the day where they'd be the best of the Florida teams. (Before you chime in about Tampa, I don't see Fitzpatrick following up too well on that great game he played yesterday...he's way too damn streaky. And Winston is a mess.)

Jameis Winston can remember every receiver, their route route and every defender on every play he has been in since pee wee. Unfortunately, that does not make a great QB.

Also, I agree the Jags are the best Florida team in the NFL right now. They are like the Ravens and the Giants that win despite their QB. Imagine what they could do with a good QB. There are 11 elite QBs in the NFL. On average one comes along every other year. So when a guy like Drew Brees is available, you sign him. Unless you are the Fins GM.

My vote is Texans. Watson is going to become the next best thing and you wanna be there for the ride. The pieces are there for a contender for quite some time if only we didn't have that butt chin son of a bitch as a head coach.

Either way, Texans and that is my completely unbiased opinion :fap:

My choices for you:

1. Jags - good team, on the way up, should be part of the convo for quite a few years to come. You're starting with them now as opposed to when they've already won for years.
2. Eagles - my team, they totally take on the underdog Rocky attitude, fans are as dedicated and rabid as you'll find anywhere in any sport, have the most "green" stadium, the owner is great, Carson Wentz is near the best, but definitely top 5 QB (HOF'ers Rodgers and Brady are still around, mind you).

only problem is, they JUST won the SB, so you might look like a serious bandwagon jumper, and if you don't know about Ron Jaworski, Randall Cunningham, who drafted Brian Dawkins, the early 90's defense, and it's players, it just won't work. Being an Eagles fan is all about the struggle and heartbreak it took BEFORE getting to win the Super Bowl.

3. Packers - again, you might look like a serious bandwagon jumper, it's VERY easy to like them, everybody does.

out of your other choices:

Steelers - meh, too easy, it's like liking the Cowboys when you've never even been to Texas, plus, they only have another year or two of serious contention, Big Ben is getting old.
Broncos - you could jump in on the ground floor and roll with them
Lions - they've been in the basement longer than the Eagles before last year, and I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon, won't be fun to watch
Bengals - they've been in the basement longer than the Eagles before last year, and I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon, won't be fun to watch
Vikings - will be fun to watch, but Cousins is no Top 10 QB, I can see him/them breaking your heart every year, just like last season.
Chiefs - will be fun to watch, but Mahomes is no Top 10 QB, (YET), I can see him/them breaking your heart every year, just like last season.

I agree with your logic. I like the idea of the Jags, Lions, Vikings and Chiefs. I know you said it won't be fun to be a Lions fan, but I have to think with Stafford that they always have a chance.

My parents lived in Colorado for many years, so I could adopt the Broncos. But the whole horse logo is just so lame. Outside of Peyton, they seem about as bad at handling their QBs as the Dolphins. Brian Griese was from Miami. Everyone here knew he was an alki. Why would they draft him? I do like their colors though.

Jump on the Darnold hype train. We got air conditioning and a 90 mil salary cap!

After last night, the Jets are temporarily looking great! There's always week 2, though.

Everyone outside of New England hates them, but if you're in the market for new team I'd offer there's none more exciting to watch and be a part of.

Awesome owner, best in class coach, QB, TE, etc. Every year they have a different team and new scheme that they work with to be superbowl contenders.

Fuck the Patriots. I respect the talent and success, but hate pretty much everything about them. That entire dynasty will implode very soon. If it doesn't start late this year, it will kick-in next year. Then, thankfully, we won't have to hear about them for a decade. :thu:

This is the best part, exactly what I'm talking about. Year in and out, every Fall people think their time has passed. Brady is getting old, his arm is dead, their time has come, too many suspensions and injuries, too many distractions, won't be any good this year without Welker/Hightower/Moss/Edleman/Gronk/Wilfork/etc, etc, etc... and they always find a way to win, with no-names who become household names by the end of the season.

Of course you will be right one year, but it hasn't happened yet.

I'm hoping it's this year. Or next. Brady will retire and Belichick will go with him. Then it starts to unravel because the incentive for elite players to go there will be lessened.

By the way, "New England" Patriots. That pisses me off. "New England" is not a state, or city. Claiming an entire area of the country. What nerve...

That's what pisses you off about the Pats? Not the cheating? And let me be specific, because Pats fan have memories like goldfish and always deny cheating in every form. I'm talking about lip readers, telescopic lenses snapping photos of play cards, hidden microphones in visitors locker rooms, stolen playbooks, personnel watching opponent practices, cameras set recording opponent practices.

Now one could argue that the Pats were savvy. The League Commission did not agree. Don't be naieve that the Pats have stopped. They just aren't currently getting caught. Also, Jon Gruden is a big cheater too.

Also, I'll consider the Colts. I like Andrew Luck and TY.

In my defense, I started by saying I hated pretty much everything about them.

The Colt's aren't great right now, but if Luck stays healthy (he's a beast when healthy...) and the new guard has time and money to implement their plans, we should be back to division winners soon. Fingers crossed...
