I'd rock it. We've set the bar pretty high in that thread so far.

This is probably for me. My bad. I just thought Kurdula's rig pic with Draelyc in the background was worthy of comment.

Yeah, it's draelyc in the background of one and it's the Vegas ampfest in the background of the other. I pulled them up on youtube and let the autoplay take over lol.

Neilrocks - I love the lp/fender/marshal combo.

Rig 1: Cherry Bomb/Bottle Rocket/Ampete/FX8 Rig:

Live switchable between heads with Ampete 221. Effects to both loops from Ampete fed by FX8. Mesa footswitch switches the heads.

And jonVengance has just killed it in the pedalboard section.

Steve elected to keep the Plexi rig in the running for voting, but I didn't want his pictures of the Cherry Bomb/Bottle Rocket headswitching rig to go to waste. So I moved them here for drooling.

I'm surprised we have nothing in modeling or home studio. I know some of you cats have some sick studio setups and I know at least Jive Turkey is on the modeling train.

I'd call this the ruined-loop effect. It is like posting a scooter to compete with a Porsche or a Ferrari ;)

That’s the most accurate name for it.

Btw, nice combo setup. Good to see some Rivera love in here. I have zero experience with their amps by always pleasant to see them.

Thanks! Paul Rivera had a column in a German guitar magazin in the early nineties and since these days I always wanted one. Finally I got the R55 in 2000 and I did never regret this purchase.

Nevertheless, your handwired AC30 plays in a different league. Had once the chance to play one of these and they sound glorious! :thu:

I don't really see the r series much, glad to see an r55 on the board though. I've had my r30 for about 8 years now and it's one of the most versatile amps I've ever played. Love these things.

With the dearth of posts in the recording rig section, I may post mine just for fun (it's basically the same setup but with a laptop, AI, and mic/stand) nothing fancy.

I might throw mine up too. It’s just my Mac and Blackjack Onyx and maybe the tascam. But whatever.

Btw Steve’s amp’s gut shots are beautiful.

If no one posts anything in Modeling I’m putting up my RP-2000.

duuuuuuude, I haven't seen/heard and rp2000 in like a 15 years. That was the first pedal I ever bought, I used to think it was the coolest thing ever to have all of those different amp models. you should post it.

Hmm, that'll probably beat my old BOSS ME-70 rig

I purposely didn't post my Helix rig because it's currently in the Emporium section.

And iff brought his Mrak out to play! I love the old IIBs. A local store nearby had one for a while and I’d stop in there on my breaks and abuse the hell out of it.

Combo thread has some awesome contenders. Some Rivera, Vox, Marshall, Henning, freakin Simo Plex and some Mrak action.

I knew a guy who had one. It wasn't bad, but he was trying to resell it for $1200 about 8 years after it came out. It was super dated by that point.

:hi5: At the end of the day I wouldn't need more amp than a Rivera combo. Form factor and weight of the r-series are a defnite plus and just for portability reasons I used the r55 with a 'Century Vintage'.

Just saw andvari posted one of my alltime favourite amp heads. There is no need for selling short that THD rig

Great turn out guys! We've got until 3pm EST/12pm PST to get any last entries in. I had a lot of fun doing this for you guys and who knows, maybe I'll be running/organizing it again for you guys. To everyone that has participated, thanks so much! And thanks to the board in general. You make GAB the best Guitar Forum on the Interwebz.
