No offense, but today's music doesn't have a lot to say.

So, what? You're trying to tell me Purple Haze has "...a lot to say"?

Fucking Beatles. Buddy Holly was ten times the musician they ever were and did it without being gross or irritating.

All the best music came out in 2004. All other years are false.

Every year there is quality metal being put out by known and relatively unknown artists. The difference between today and 1990 is the way it is delivered. If you are waiting for a major label to drop good metal music, you are missing out on some amazing content. IMO there have never been more amazing doom bands, tech death and blackened death than there are right now in 2017. Yes the 80s are still the glory years for thrash and the 90s for black metal but again there is so much quality content. Just open your mind and let it in. You won't be disappointed. Go on YouTube and spend a few hours exploring.

My problem is, I grew up on radio, so I'm used to getting spoon-fed, and I'm too old and lazy to "look" for good music. I do listen to SiriusXM, so, I'll catch a new band here and there, but I don't even listen to music a whole lot, so I definitely don't have time to audition/listen to a bunch of crap until I get to something good.

 I feel you 100%

I grew up on thrash/speed metal so I am used to doing a little research, but it definitely doesn't exactly fall in your lap. Speaking of metal; I do the XM thing as well and the Liquid Metal DJ has got to be the most irritating host ever. When your broadcast idol is Rkki Rachtman; you really need to stop :freak: As far as new heavy music goes; XM is just as garbage as FM imo. Most of the stuff I find is off other sites pimping the genre.

You harshing on Jose Mangin? I like him. Though I must admit that I don't listen to Into the Trivia pit anymore, cuz I want music when I'm driving.

Yes. I'm sorry  STFU and play some metal FFS   I will say he went off on a tangent about his love for Rachtman one day and as an old guy who grew up with headbanger's ball and watching him; it just immediately made me :freak:

Mark McGrath might be worse. You can turn on the 90's station, and be home before he actually plays a goddamn song because he talks so much!
