Volume 5 is uploading now. It shows how to route EZdrummer and Steven Slate drums to individual channels in your DAW for mixing purposes... I will update the OP when it's done.

Dude - I cannot wait to be able to watch this stuff.

Over 2 hours of incredibly insightful lessons on EXACTLY what I've been wanting to do with EZDrummer... You are a saint :rawk:

Thanks dude! Been getting some good feedback on some other forums as well for these. It was suggested to do some other lesson type things so I will probably do some "How To Play..." vids. Going to start getting my soldering skills up to scratch for pickup comparisons like Loop mentioned.

Jer - I still haven't had a chance to listen to all the vids yet, but I think I'm on #4. Truly excellent, and much appreciated

Even recommended the vids to our bass player, so he can help both of us get out of the drumtard state :D

Question - when adding EZ Drummer stuff to Reaper, I get pop-ups asking about multiple channels - not sure what that's for, and I wind up with MANY tracks being added to my project (seemingly) regardless of which option I choose. Any tips on that? Do you have to have all the tracks in the DAW? Is there an easy way to collapse them?

Thanks!

Really got a lot out of #4!!! :rawk:
I'm glad you chose Ace of Spades because, being familiar with the song, made everything click in my head more easily and I was humming and singing along with you!
Very cool, Jer!!! Totally worth the 40+ minutes it took to watch. :thu:

Not Jer but still...when you go to make a drum track are you actually doing a new track and then adding EZD2 as an FX on the track, or are you creating a virtual instrument track and it's giving you multiple outs? Just doing a track and adding EZD2 should only result in one track...

As far as collapsing them, put your cursor in that field where the tracks are, hold Ctrl and roll your mouse...one way makes them bigger, one way collapses them all the way down to one line apiece. You'll see what I mean.

Sorry man but I am no help in Reaper. I assume it is giving you about 13-20 tracks? If sou, Reaper is somehow calculating how many tracks required to send each mic to its ow track. That's cool. You should just be able to say no and get one stereo track. I am not versed in Reaper unfortunately.

Glad you are digging the vids though!

Awesome man! I figured Ace would be a good one to do since it is such a well know song and even non-rock or metal people know it. Glad these are helping and I appreciate you all giving them a go.

The Khed finally makes good! LOL!

Yeah this was my thinking. Make a new instrument track and then add EZD2 as an inserted effect.
