BO2 - it is what it is. I have fun with these games and they are good stress relievers

Aliens: Colonial Marines - It's not as bad as people are making it out to be. The atmosphere is there i guess. The character graphics are awful and have a PS2-like quality to their facial movements. The Xeno's are bad-ass. Not that far into it, but so far... not boring. Haven't played online yet.

Update on Aliens. Graphics just get worse as you go along. Fires are nothing but sprites pasted on a scene. If a Character is resting by a wall, his head is usually halfway inside the wall. Xeno's all do the same thing. Their AI is great, but their movements never really change. The Facehuggers look as low poly as you can get. Acting is terrible. It is very PS2-;like in every way.

That said, the game itself is still kind of fun so far. It's very Aliens-world. I think me being an Alien freak has a lot to do with my refusal to despise this game. If you are not an Alien guy, don't even bother. Like I said, i think the AI is pretty good and the gameplay keeps switching up. It's not just constantly killing Xeno's. The guns are typical, but work as expected.

Still have to play online yet.

Interesting... maybe a 'wait until it drops in price before you buy' game.

Damn, I'm still playing Need for Speed games on gamecube. I know I'm old school, but I get enough fun out of those, I don't need anything else.

The new need for speed most wanted looks pretty fun IMO... it's all open world including the races which seems like it could be pretty fun

I feel only a little shitty for buying Deus Ex for the 360. My brother bought me the game when it came out, for my birthday. He bought it for PC over Steam, and my computer could just *barely* run it. After playing the first mission, it was a hassle, and I just stopped. So I finally got a copy for $6, so I'll actually play it.

Plus, after the Borderlands gunning, I'm ready for some stealth stuff. I'll wait until Farcry 3 gets down to <$20 used before I throw down on that. But I will be borrowing The Witcher 2 from Telephant here, too. Hooray new games.

Finished Xenoblade. Brilliant game, characters, and plot. Such a long game though. About 130 hours before I finished, without feeling like any of it was unnecessarily padded out.

Any Wii-owning RPG fans that haven't played this are seriously missing out.

It's really fun. I played the shit out of it. Completed it almost 100%. I usually don't do that. I have a hacked PS3, so I get any game I want for free, so I always end up playing a game for a bit, then moving onto another one.

I am playing that right now, I bought into the amazon review hype.

I thought it was fun for the first few hours. But the handholding, excessive dialogue, and grinding is getting to be annoying. Feels like an rpg for dummies with the dialogue, but apparently the battle system is more complex than explaned. Too bad because the studio ghibli production otherwise is pretty cool.

I like the dialogue. Reminds me of a Disney movie. And I guess I'm one of the few that still loves grinding. To me that's half the fun of a JRPG. And as far as hand holding, trust me, it starts to get tough. Once you get the boat, it starts to kick your ass, and you have to be strategic about how you approach fights. Up until then I was just attacking with my best melee guys. That stops working and you have to be swapping guys in and out like crazy.

Playing AC3, but pretty much just multiplayer, b/c that's what my clan specializes in. Black Ops 2 for mindless fun.
PC time mainly spent on Far Cry 3. I still need to get around to finishing Skyrim. I have Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs waiting on me to start them. Anxiously awaiting the new Sim City to come out. :o

I'm glad to see the Deus Ex mentions. It (the first one) is tied with Half Life 1 for my favorite game evarz.

A challenger appeared out of the blue.

This is not to be confused with Vanishing Point.

Picked up a Dead Island. Playing co-op cam-pag-en (the goddamned American phonetic pronunciation of the word), and going through as Sam. It's Borderlands with zombies, which is not an unfavorable comparison, really.

I do wince a lot, though. Being a gigantic liberal wuss, it's still hard for me to hit something that is very-approximately-human in the face with a claw hammer. I can do borderlands. That's the benefit of a gun, you know? Impersonally disproportionate response. It's way easier, conceptually, to shoot things in the face with a gun that shoots homing acid-rockets, than it is to pull a crowbar out of someone's ribcage. Granting that continuum of atrocity, I think maybe I should have at least been the Xian the blade lady. Straight decapitation seems vaguely more humane, you know?

But, no, I got full of beef jerky and peanut brittle and thought I was a big man, who could handle being a rough-and-tumble pirate. The kind of man's man that 1) did not have tribal tattoos and 2) could look the undead in the eyes, spit in in them, and then introduce 'em to the business end of a pipe wrench. I was wrong. I strongly feel I should have been the small Asian lady.

Story of my life, bro.

Still playing Darksiders II and I am having a blast with it. I wish the first game was executed as well as this one was.

I picked up Crysis Maximum Edition when I am through with this. Never played it before but heard great things about it. Plus my rig is good enough to play it full up too. I am into eyecandy these days.

FYI, if you can pick up one of those Dell Ultrasharp monitors, fantastic displays. I got a used U2312HM for $150 shipped and it is a killer panel. Not that anyone was asking.

I've seen it around, but I'm not sure if I want to get it or not. I really liked Uncharted 2, and I haven't finished Uncharted 3 yet.

I was like that with the 2nd one! The third one... well I think I just have to be in the mood and only concentrate on the one game, so maybe I didn't give it my all. I do enjoy playing it though.

yeah... the 2nd was great and the 3rd has some nice improvements in the game play IMO, solid story too... just an all round great game...
