Definitely don't just buy another Budda without going try one somewhere, first. You might still hate it!

As far as amps that got away, I should have never sold my Peavey Prowler. That was a great little amp

Decided almost instantly that it "wasn't for me," partly because it didn't sound exactly like I expected it to out of the box, and partly I think out of buyer's remorse. So I moved it on quickly, without even trying a tube swap, much less a different speaker.

It has haunted me ever since, lol!

Now that I have my Plexi, I'm realizing my tastes have changed. Back when I tried the Budda, my Trace Elliot Speed Twin was the end-all-be-all of tone for me, and the Budda did *not* sound like that, natch. But the Plexi has pretty much demolished my love for the Speed Twin (which is, fingers crossed, about to be sold ~ something I couldn't have imagined doing back in the day).

So I'm selling off my other amps and wanting to pick up a good 1x12 combo for portability & light gigging ... and I'm wondering if now I shouldn't give the Budda a second chance.

What says GAB ~ is I is nutz, or is I is not? :idk:

I had much of the same experience with my Bogner Shiva el-34 head, I was rather young and into endless amounts of gain at the time, and it didnt have anywhere near enough gain for me, so I sold it. I wish I had it back now thats for sure.

My Mesa .50 cal +

Been thinking about that amp lately and wishing i hadn't sold it. It had a lot of mojo to it. Not a very powerful amp due to it's small transformers i think? but very cool sounding.

Looking back at the amps I had, I would love to have tried an eq in the loop of my Engl Fireball. Knowing what I know now, would have been beneficial back in the day.

Maybe at some point, I will get to try one again with an eq in the loop. Until then, I am more than pleased with my Marshall!

I wish i still had my old Voodoo Modded JVM and my old 2205. But then i'd just have way too many Marshalls sitting around. It's bad enough my DSL doesn't get used at all.

I had a Cameron jose modded 77 2203 jmp that I used as my main amp for yrs. unfortunately I got caught up in a bad jam and had to sell off a collection of gear to a dealer. I have never seen it since and it had a unique sound unlike other Jose's I have heard. One of the best sounding if not the best sounding Marshall I have ever heard. I still look for it.

I can't say I miss anything I used to own or I would have bought it back. I did miss my 5150II, which is why I got a 6505+. I love it. After 4 years with it, I think it's here to stay.

I don't miss it particularly, but my Peavey VTM120. I "sold" it for $50, so you're goddamn right it got away from me.

I never should have sold my last Mark III, but I've replaced it with another that is for all intents and purposes identical.

I hate myself for selling my Rackto. I triple hate myself for selling my Boogie 4x12 with EVs and C90s.

Not an amp but a cab. I scored a Peavey 212mc (slant vert with Celestion g12t-75s) for $100. Pretty much the only Peavey product I like. I flipped it for $200 so I can't complain but I really miss it.
