Agreed. I love the first two albums (De-Loused is one of my all-time favourites) but I haven't enjoyed their later stuff much at all.
Their popularity curve reminds me of Muse a bit - the more popular they became, the more they seemed to be making music to match their fans' expectations rather than doing completely their own thing.

L'via...every time i engage autowah, i hit those first few notes. i have to. its in my fucking blood. tremulant to frances are unbridled genius and anyone who says otherwise, i will bang their female loved ones with reckless abandon.

I enjoyed Amputecture quite a bit too. I actually rank it higher than Frances just because of the fekking noise on Frances. The Amputecture tour was much more enjoyable too.

ATDI has been my favorite band for a long time. No one else can put that kind of energy into a song. It's kind of sad how they've become so tame since getting back together. TMV - never got into them.
