I guess this counts?
Always loved this album - groovin, soulful trio with Kotzen on guitar and vocals and Atma Anur on drums
Richie really tears it the fuck up on this song

These guys have their fingerprints all over the Hellacopters. Fred"Sonic"Smith was quietly a major songwriter in the MC5. I fucking love me some hard driving boogie.

Shityeah! Hellacopters actually reference "electrophonic tonic" in their song "Crimson Ballroom".
Love Fred Smith. RIP
Tbe early 70s is my favorite era of music. Such an amalgam of great music- ZZ, Sabbath, Radio Birdman, Stooges, Zep, Bowie, Beck, Ramones, SRB, Alice Cooper, Zappa....
A lot of the old blues guys were finally getting their due, as well. Must've been a great scene.

Probably one of my biggest influences is Johhny Thunders (he's actually not dead, he's now Steve Stevens

)

Jeffrey Lee Pierce was way out of his mind. But god damn could he play the blues.
Along with being a killer songwriter.

Right after the opening "BLitzkrieg Bop" you get a look at the side of the stage...
at a giant pile of JBL4560 PA bins...
that are their fookin side-fill monitors.You could play a 3000 seater with their
monitors.

Beautiful. Pure, ass-kicking beauty.
