Okay, so I got my x rays. I'm looking right at my fibula in the wrong spot, and the ortho doc didn't see it. Notice the space between the tibia and fibula.
How do I fix this??

Wow! Just checked this thread out for the first time and you guys are doing AWESOME!!! Nice to hear all the good news!!!
Gene: I hate Doctors, Dentists and Lawyers - too many of them are scam artists who don't know what they're doing. If your ailment isn't life threatening, they just want you to keep coming back for more $$$$.
This may not help, in your situation but, after I'm on my feet for a while, my right calf feels like it has a ballooned artery that's about to explode. I have a fairly cool Doctor who told me that it's just a pinched nerve in my lower back. He went on to say that, if I wanted, he could get me a sonogram that would show that it was not an aneurysm. Never got the sonogram but, ever since I started mild exercise to strengthen my lower back muscles, I have not had the leg problem.
Not saying any of this will help you but, it's something to consider.

BroSlinger,
look into trigger point therapy. Made famous by Bonnie Prudden many years ago. There's another name, but I can't remember right now.
The idea is that a few muscle fibers go into spasm and lock tight. The trick is that the pain is "referred", i.e., you feel pain in a place not where the muscle spasm is actually occuring.
A massage therapist can find the spots (I found it very hard to do on myself), release the muscle, and the pain that you're feeling somewhere else is cured.

Down 30 now. I feel only going to the gym 3 days a week instead of everyday is ruining my progress. Yes i know 30 is a lot for not even 4 weeks of trying, but last time i lost 70lbs, i was going everyday and getting better results.
Problem is, my doctor doesn't want me to go more than three times a week.

IME, the faster it comes off, the faster it goes back on. Been telling my kids for years that slow and steady wins the race, and I'm finding that really is working for me this time.
Gotta have rest periods between workouts so that muscle tissue can rebuild, yo.

This is true, but i'm so stuck on what worked for me last time. I went every day, except for maybe 4 days total, in a 4 year period. I loved it.
Then divorce happened and life turned shitty in a variety of ways. My divorce was amicable and mutual and my ex and i are still good friends and it still was a brutal thing for me. I don't know how ppl with bad divorces get through life.
Anyway, 3 days a week it is... doctor says so. Just venting my frustration. I need this weight to come off. I hate my me.

I'm sure you guys are encountering this issue as well but, my clothes no longer fit. Drilling new holes in my belts, wearing those clothes that used to be too tight or a size too small... My wife said yesterday "you've dropped so much weight, you shouldn't wear your baggy jeans anymore, and should stick to wearing skinny jeans." To which I replied, "these ARE my skinny jeans!"

So what do, newly slimmed bros? Get new clothes? A new wardrode is gonna cost me the price of a new LP or a Pittman, so you know which way I am leaning.

I've refused to get new clothes (except for the $$$$ ones that I'm interviewing in), and the ones I was wearing last year are pretty much swimming on me. Tighter belts and thicker skin (to avoid the "whoa loooook at THAT!!!" BS) are what I'm rockin'.
#phuckit
tl;dr - I'm still wanting to drop pounds, and I'm one cereal cheepazz muthadokka

I'm down 72 as of today. I've bought "some" new clothes, but I wanna wait to buy more. I have replaced my gym tents cause they were looking redic. I bought a pair of lucky jeans, and those things are comfy as fuck. I bought a shirt at h&m, which I wouldn't have been able to do a few months ago. I'm gonna get my hernia fixed in about 20-30 more pounds. I wear an abdominal band/belt when I work out.

but then 1 week of the opposite
I keep working out everyday but I really need to solve this bad habit. Time for a new good streak!

down 40lbs since last year. I got so heavy the 335lbs scale I got couldn't weigh me any more. The first 15 came off just being consistent with my workouts, doing a keto diet is actually what got the ball rolling. Next milestones are August 18th (the defenders comes out) I want to be 285, then for my wife's bday on sept 21st I want to be in the 260s and then finish out the year in 240-245 range. I've dropped this type of weight before, but I wasn't able to keep it off. Once I hit my target range the goal will be to maintain the weight. It took me an incredibly long time to try the low carb thing and it wasn't until I tried insanely low carb that it actually worked, go figure.

Pretty much exactly the same boat, only i have not started keto yet and i'm 44. Still down 35 lbs, but doing my thing still. Just gotta change up a bit to get my body freaking out again. Keto may be the thing i do. I can tell have gained a ton of muscle and my clothes have loosened quite a bit even at the same weight.

Good on you losing the weight, and goals are key to staying on track. Keep it up!
Don't take ease for granted. I lost 118 lbs when I was your age through exercise (bowflex to start, mostly cycling after getting some of the weight of) and a pretty strict diet. 2 kids slowed my motivation, And I was doomed to put all the weight back on, with interest. The biggest problem for me was not developing any good eating habits - it went right from "off" to "on", and that was it.
It took a lot for me to start down the path of getting a grip on things so I could I start losing weight. It really didn't help being 50 - it truly is harder to do it at this age.
Sorry if I'm coming of like a downer / preacher. I think it's great that you're accomplishing your goals, and wish you luck in getting where you want to be. Just make sure you're doing it at a pace that you can live with for the long haul. Especially where the eating is concerned

All of this.
I had lost 70lbs when i was 39. It was fairly easy. Then two years ago divorce and depression packed on 90lbs.
Now that I'm 44, it's harder. Only a couple years difference, doing the same things... The weight is not coming off like last time. I'm ok with this. I've accepted the fact that this will be a long haul and it probably should be. I let my self have the very very occasional treat, which actually helps your body from going into starvation mode and had the added benefit of you not going crazy and falling off the wagon. I'm aiming for 3lbs a week. If it doesn't happen, then i go by how my clothes are fitting and how i feel. Too many factors to only focus on the scale. If i feel good, then i remember i didn't feel good 5 weeks ago. That's enough motivation.
You guys can go back to page one and read my post. I've done a compete 180 from that Atrox. After losing just 10 pounds, i was feeling so much better physically and mentally. From there, it's just a matter of goals and sticking to them.
