Today kind of sucked. SLept in after the baby was up all night. had to do a rushjob.

1. Proraso foam is fun. I really do like it.
2. Invictus aftershave was nice and sweet. almost cloying. I was kind of hungry and woozy when I woke up. This probably wasn't the best choice today.
3. Shave #4 on OG Rusky BlueBlack 7OC. This was absolutely toast. Awful. I need to chuck blades faster.
4. ATT Medium Windsor plate. This might just be too mild for me, but it looks so cool.
5. I thought the Goodfella handle would go with this. It didn't. a heavier handle helps add some aggression to this medium head. Should have done that.
7/10.

Prep: warm shower
Soap: Stirling Soap Executive Man
Brush: Turn N Shave 26mm Fanchurian
Razor: Timeless .95SB
Blade: Super Max Blue Diamond (1)
Aftershave: Fine Platinum
Rating: 9.5/10...caught a small weeper on a rough spot while buffing, forgot this was a new blade and they're usually sharper than I like.

Hmm, This ikon razor shaved really close, but not comfortably. I've decided I don't like this style where the blade is held flat, and the top cap wraps around the sides. I'm pretty sure I don't need the Blackland Tradere now. I may get rid of this head.

Extro Freddo was alright, but I'm disappointed in the scent. There's nothing there. It was supposed to have a eucalyptus smell. nothing but menthol. no soapy scent. nothing. Nice glass container though(which scares me in the shower).

CL Admiral toner = the redeeming factor today. epic.

8/10 = because of the super close shave. much closer than yesterday.

Let me know if you decide to get rid of it man. Interested in trying that style since I saw the Tradere.

I just bought chatillon Lux admiral cologne for $60 without even thinking. That’s how much I love the aftershave toner.

Got my timeless stuff. Can’t wait to use it tomorrow. Tried to get a pic tonight. Failed.

Stainless .95 is too mild. Not enough blade exposure. Still a cool razor. Stoke to try the bronze 38.

The lather bros soap kicks butt.

This aftershave is epic. Smells like paco one million.

I’m going 9/10 because I usually get a closer shave.

All that said, this razor is pretty brainless. Seems tough to cut yourself. Feels almost exactly like the Rockwell 6S

I didn’t shave today, but I ordered a new razor (RazoRock German 37) and a bottle of Proraso green aftershave.

Did you get the bulldog handle?

Btw, proraso green splash is as good as it gets. Classic scent that doesn’t smell young or old. It smells perfect.

just got me a nice new tub of Ginestra di Taormina from TFS... LOVE it. it totally smells like italian barbershop, central jersey, 1976. smells like talc and barbasol, but in the classiest way, and natch has the hoss TFS lather!

total non- high endy smellz, but all the grandpa feels. totally makes me feel like a kid on a stack of phone books in the red leather and chrome chair again.

Got home, showered and was digging thru the cabinet deciding what to use and a huge storm broke and killed my power. I’m an enthusiast and not a fanatic, won’t be shaving by candlelight here...

Irked, running out to check on brother’s property in Nevada, overnight trip and now can’t shave until tomorrow.

THE CULT OF UNCLE WALTER IS IN SESSION!!!!
Finally got the tiki guy brush in rotation. It's a 28mm synthetic bulb knot and I kind of like the extra large handle.
The Chinese Future Clone works just fine with the Astras but, I was in a hurry and it nipped me twice... no blood, just bad paper cuts.

Saturday Shave 1:
Image
I truly hate the Bronze 38 plate. It sucks big time. It manages to feel aggressive and uncomfortable while not cutting anything. Aggressive but inefficient. I hate it hate hate hate it.
Saturday Shave 2:
Figured it was a fluke, and since I had so much growth left, I thought I could shave again.

same story. same day. Still didn't remove my hair. gave me irritation. fuck this.

IG contest soap win....this stuff is good. Great slickness, great lather, great post shave feel. High lemon content in the scent, feels right for summer shaves. Dig it.

I don’t know yet. It showed up the same day as a fragrance net order and those all smelled great.

Yeah, the Stirling version is sweeter than the real thing. I have the actual invictus splash and EDT.

We'll see. I feel like this could exacerbate a headache or hangover.

So, Soap Commander posted some weird video. It sounds like there was some family drama, and the husband is out of the picture. The wife and kids are doing everything now. It makes me want to support them. Seems like the wife has been through a lot. She's the one who is active on IG and sends the handwritten letters to every buyer. I really like the way she treats the customers. Truly appreciative.

So, I'm going to have a Soap Commander week.

The Tenacity works great. It probably ranks in the middle scentwise. Not as striking as some of the others, but great performance.

Oh, and I got some Terre D'Hermes splash in the tiny bottle. Kind of smells like Fine L'Orange Noir. I wonder if it's fake. Still worked fine!

I just love the Razorock Jaws. What a fantastically smooth, intuitive, efficient razor. I don't find it all that aggressive, but lots of people disagree with me.

I'm giving today a 10/10 for the sheer enjoyment of it.

yeah, I'm searching everywhere to see what exactly happened, since they're making it sound really juicy. If it's just a run of the mill cheat, then he's a piece of shit, and I can move on. But all of this cryptic stuff has me mesmerized right now.

Their soap is awesome. I wouldn't mind owning all of them.

I need to grab my patchouli/lime one out of the basement since i was trying to make room in the home drawer.
