Ha! Some people really are fucked up!
I be they went on that Area 51 raid.

Funny thing is... the AC blade in my Occam's razor is so loose if flops around and it gives a fantastic shave!
The blades in a multi-blade cartridge razor are super thin and flexible... and they also give a good shave.

I only have about 25 DE razors and, other than the Occams, none of them have loose blades.
If it's not bad technique then, I have absolutely no idea what they're talking about either... bunch of rubes!

I remember, some guy on B&B precision measured length, width and thickness, of a variety of DE blades, with the goal of figuring out why one blade works well in one razor but, not another.
He measured several old and new blades and it turned out that they were all the exact same size and thickness.

Latest brush showed up, it beat me home so fuck it, went for it.

Can't fault the handle, it's beautiful and flawless.....but this knot sucks dick and it's ugly too. Scratchy and poky, almost like the thing is still alive and pissed off somehow.

I've got it lathered up and I'll let it sit overnight and see if it relaxes a bit, but whatever.

Already decided I'm going to cut it out and replace it with one of the Maggard's knots. I don't want to have anything getting in the way of enjoying this shit.

104 today, had to do Terror up again. That's what I bought it for.

East Egg - Soap, Splash, EDT
Terror - Soap, Splash
Nocturne - Soap
Sinfornia - Splash
Jacinthe - Splash
Reserve Cool - Soap and EDT(big bottle)
Tuesday - Soap and Splash

So, It's Old RR Classic vs New RR Classic. The old is a simple recipe. worked awesome. The new has a bunch of oils added to try to make your face conditioned/young/greasy/etc.

I've been looking at ingredients in soaps that burn me, and I think "Argan Oil" may be a culprit. It's in the Razorock "super" (current) formula.

I can't tell if this started to burn me today or not. The jury is still out. That said, I got an awesome shave. Incredibly close. I still love my Blackbird razors. They're just perfect.

The X One smells like the W hotel Lobby. I LOVE it.

I'm giving today a 10/10.

Felt like it.....wasn't a million degrees today, didn't need some Terror.

Always forget how good Stirling is. Platinum was a nice compliment to this one. Fuckin Turn N Shave just kicked ass, especially after that piece of fuck knot I tried to use yesterday....I hope the knot in my Grizzly Bay is as good as this one cause it rules.

8/10 just because I rashed myself up trying to push the Super Max past 8, forgot how long I'd had it in there. Ditched it and starting a fresh one tomorrow.

I’m going to buy 100 astra platinums for no other reason than they’re now laser etched, which means the assembly line is fresh. I may like them now. $7 shipped per hundred.

Yes and no.

The dart, Sabre, and vector should. (I can verify this later)

The blackbird does not, due to the design.

Very good SOTD:
Image

So, I've gone back and forth on whether i like the RR game changer 84. It came with some stupid handle I don't like, so it's been kind of a misfit head on all kinds of handles. I think I finally may have found a suitable partner.

Handle came from a "Goodfella" zamak open comb razor from New Zealand. It was my daily driver for a long time, but I've moved on from zamak razors, and mild open combs. That said, the handle has always been the just the right size, weight, and shape.

*Additional Info*

Gillette Minora Blade. Pretty much unobtanium now. Shaved incredibly.

B&M Cheshire. Glissant gang. absolutely beautiful, snow white, wet lather. shaved great. Smells is nice.

Oleo New City. This is the best smelling aftershave, ever. period. beautiful. Nice menthol kick that goes away in 5 minutes.

today was definitely 10/10

Gorgeous brush!!

I had no idea Stirling made an invictus clone!!!!!!?!?!

Fuckin A! I’ll trade my glacial black cherry in case you don’t like it. Used it once.

Btw, I’m in a blade rut. I’m mixing it up. Bringing back my super maxes and the euromax.

Brush is making me slightly giddy, dude. Wanted one of his blues for a while.

Yeah it's a mini set tho, like $20 shipped.....3oz soap/2oz AS. Think it's an LE too, but was in stock when I ordered it Sat night.

Soap is lightly scented, AS is pretty close tho. I wore Invictus for about 6 months back in like 15? Seems like what I remember. Been a Prada/YSL/Ford guy since then.

Love the Super Maxes, speak to me of the Euromaxes

Euromax is a direct knockoff of the super max from a supposedly legit India blade co called vertice.

I would post a pic but I’m on my phone. Look it up.

Getting out of my Blade Rut SOTD:
Image

So, I had been making the mistake of using terrible blades in mild razors to mask the nastiness. That resulted in more touch ups and more buffing, which amplified the shittiness.

So, I rocked the Euromax in the Blackbird today. It wasn't terrible. Not super smooth, but it shaved closely. It added spice and pizzazz to my shave today.

Rasozero Tobacco = kicks ass. great lather. Nice scent.

Paco Invictus aftershave = very nice. I love this scent. This stuff isn't super expensive either. I think you can get a bottle of this for $26 on ebay.

Dogwood Brush. I just keep using it. keep breaking it in. Still loving it.

Overall, a 9/10.

So someone asked in the Score thread......I guess July was busier for me than I'd originally thought. I won the WSP Matterhorn on an IG contest but even still, I didn't realize all this came in.
