Eating all kind of (wild) animals falls very well into that category. No need for another kind of HIV saga.

Plausible after our Trade moves in 2019. Curious why China would build a few 1000 bed Hospitals in less than 2 weeks unless they new the consequences. I think the bat excuse is BS. But, I am a pessimist

Not trying to pick fights or single anyone out, but the generalizations and assumptions are interesting, mostly because they are unsubstantiated and provide no basis in science. Instead, they are typically left open-ended or allude to some dark fear without explanation.

Based on legitimate science and repeatable studies, we know that viruses can move between animals and from animal to human. This is not even remotely new to science. We also know that they can morph and change along the way. Why is it so implausible that a "Coronavirus" had an origin in bats (something proven by science for earlier, different "Coronavirus" structures) and then moved through an intermediary animal before being hosted by humans? Researchers haven't identified the animal that gave the virus a stepping stone, or declared that progression as absolute fact, but that is where the research is leading. In my mind that is far more plausible than the fear-mongering BS that is continually referenced.

And don't get me started on the scrub-wearing "doctors" with YouTube rants that we should listen to "because what they say makes a lot of sense". The latest one being pushed is some Chiropractor with an obvious deep-seated political slant and cultural insecurities. I don't care how many classes he sat in at the vocational school to learn about sprained ankles. I'm pretty sure that immunologists and infectious disease experts will have a better handle on that area of medicine. They, too, have prejudices and can push agendas, but it's far easier to skim the agenda from the science than it is trying to find some science among the prejudice.

What I can’t take and the reason I’ve disconnected is the absurd media push including all the “we’re here for you” commercials and disgusting political slanted views as well as political failings from our leaders. Want to get things going again test everyone. Give us solutions not fear and fantasy. Signing off..

No offense, but I'm pretty sure you are wrong. And testing now won't provide any solid evidence of when you might have had it - if a test for antibodies comes back positive...

I'm (reasonably) old and I've been around a while. But, I still have to care for both young and old. Knowing my infection status could be useful in that regard...

Believe me I’m not preaching that because it sounds crazy but we here had the symptoms and it would be nice to know. On a large scale it would help put things into better perspective for humanity

Understood... I have had (and still have) every symptom, other than a fever, for almost 8 weeks now. I also work in an environment where I was in contact with people from Wuhan, China in December and Daegu, Korea in January. Hence the desire for testing just to level set things. I don't think I have it and I don't want to assume I might have. Doing so could make others assume a different timeline and push already questionable theories. If I can find an option for testing, THEN I might start connecting dots. There's way too much conjecture for me to do that without some scientific proof...

sounds like the death toll is going to be very under reported. if you just die in your house they dont have enough tests to figure out if you had it so they are not being counted in the numbers.

"...very under reported"? Doubtful. Will there be a delay and a disconnect? Sure... Unexplained and suspicious home deaths are generally followed by autopsy. My guess is that will still be the case and, maybe, to a greater degree to acquire data. The actual numbers will lag for some time, but I'd be willing to bet there will be a reasonable accounting...

Indiana started drive through testing this week (that's where you are, correct?).
If you are in an industry that is deemed essential - then I believe you can be tested.
Googled - Indiana Covid testing - a few good results popped right up.

Indiana started drive through testing this week (that's where you are, correct?).
If you are in an industry that is deemed essential - then I believe you can be tested.
Googled - Indiana Covid testing - a few good results popped right up.

I appreciate the response but my industry is probably not considered essential, at least from this standpoint (Automobile/Heavy Truck supplier). Unfortunately, that testing site is almost 2 hours away. I am within 40 minutes of Indianapolis, but the testing options are nil - unless you have obvious symptoms or have been in contact with someone known to have had the virus. I don't know what I have, but I don't think (and I'm hopeful) it's not COVID-19. I'd damn sure like to know for certain, but I'd hate to take a slot from someone that truly needs it. I don't feel like I'm dying, so there's that ...

One of the brothers passed away last night. They were going to amputate his foot but the family said enough is enough. They removed the ventilator and he passed almost immediately. The doctor said his brother is right behind him
