Great shave today. Continuing with Italian week.

tfs Sottozero works great. Smells great too.

Used a boat brush for the first time in ages. Worked great.

Dart with Sputnik shaved perfectly.

The Barberia Bolognini fresco aftershave worked fine, but it smells identical to ck1. If that’s not your thing, avoid it.

Today was a very enjoyable 10/10.

Pre: hot shower
Soap: B&M Promises
Razor: Timeless .95SB
Blade: Super Max Blue Diamond
Post: B&M Roam
Frag: Chatty Lux Bon Vivant

10/10...skipped a few days because of work and tired, was glad to scrape.

Latest card showed:

These are my super happy accident....bought something awhile back and seller chucked in a couple tucks of these...had never heard of them and tried one, was blown away. These things just work fantastically for the Timeless and my technique. Had to grab 100. Best blades I've tried....sharp but not unpleasantly so, smooth as fuck and last around 8 shaves with that same smoothness. Glad I found them.

Couple new brushes, some Martin de Candre, Terror and a Chatty Lux set coming in next week.

I'd like to say that after that I'm done, but hey.....we all say that and then buy more shit so you know...

Yup. All were great, just really dig how these feel and last. 8 shaves on each one I’m set for a minute. Super smooth too.

Your contest winning Dogwood brush ever show up?

Very interesting. Great shave today.

Obviously, it's very light. It almost feels like I'm wielding a disposable, especially because the size is pretty petite as well. This is neither a plus or minus. It's nimble and quick.

I don't really like to get into the aggressive/efficient/mild/inefficient game of semantics, but here goes:

The blade gap feels medium/large, but the blade exposure feels nearly exactly neutral. So, it didn't feel like "nothing was happening". It felt like I was shaving hard, but there was no chance of being bitten. 1.5 passes yielded a DFS.

I actually prefer (big gap/less exposure = Lupo) to (tiny gap/huge exposure = baby soft)

The handle looks meh, but it works perfectly with this razor.

Overall, this is a KILLER razor for $30. It may not suit everyone's shaving style though. I had to apply pressure to get a great shave. BUT....it still gave me a GREAT shave with zero irritation.

Stupefacente just rules. Smells like tropical fruit and gasoline to me. It really shaves well.

This brush is great.

I'd give today another 10/10. on a win streak right now.

SOTD: Italian week continues. (I'll probably go until I use every one of my TFS soaps once)

Pretty awesome today. Check out my epic Dogwood Brush I won in the B&M East Egg contest.

The Rasozero Tobacco lathered up REAL nice.

The Gem blade felt a tad tuggy. not sure how many shaves are on it or whether it's a dud. It's gettin' binned.

The El Capitan aftershave was the real surprise. I had been afraid to use it. Florals can gross me out AND burn me, but this one smells absolutely beautiful. It's a softer, sweeter violet than what B&M uses in the Tuesday stuff.

Great shave. 9/10 because of the blade. bonus point for epic aftershave. 10/10

Niiiiice man.

How would you rate that brush? Turn out awesome? On par with the Infinity or better?

It's freakin awesome. I think I like it more than the infinity, but time will tell.

Infinty = very typical badger knot, but set deeply with a strange handle shape.

Dogwood = Strange knot that feels wooly, and has whiter tips than any other badger I've seen, but very normal handle and normal setting depth.

They both shave great, and I currently prefer them both to any of my synthetics.

Go to for shaves lately, it's hotter than two motherfuckers out here this month. More humid than usual too.

Arctique works, and the WSP is just a cool clean scent I enjoy.

Weird note.....anyone have anything going out/coming in and the shit is just straight lost? Did a reddit trade, his is lost in CO somewhere....dude from B&B sent me something, it went from Kansas to fucking PUERTO RICO and then to Phoenix and still isn't close to me, and a brush that should have been here by now is apparently stuck for some reason in Niagara Falls....

Italian week continues. In fact, I'm just going to keep going. This weather is perfect for TFS soaps.

Had to bail on the Supply Injector Razor. I hate it. It's going up for sale. Luckily, the new RR Lupo saved the day.

Still love my new Dogwood Brush.

Rockin the Prada AS Splash today.

I'm going 9/10 because I got off on the wrong foot with that Supply Razor.

So this showed today among other things, wanted to try it.

Dig the scent, it's low key compared to some of the B&M I have....smells like wood and peppermint, like advertised. Dig it though.

NOT as brutally cold as Arctique, and nowhere near as mentholated, not with real menthol anyway. Gene, I shaved after a shower and was only wearing shorts, and this dripped on my chest and got a bit chilly. It's not the same as dripping the Stirling stuff on you, but I wouldn't want this on my dick, be warned.

No tears though, no brutality, no "Holy fuck this shit is freezing"

Other than that, great shave. Excelsior, but seemed thirstier for some reason...took me 3 passes adding water each time to get to where I am with Diamond in the 1st pass. I loaded this shit like I hated it though, so maybe that's why.

Nice and cooling during the shave, and Will recommended applying the splash to a damp or wet face. This was about an hour ago, and it's still doing the job. I don't know what the synthetic menthol is, but it fuckin works.

TNS brush, Timeless, 3rd on the Super Max.

10/10

Yeah was cool. Lasted about 5-6 hours; left Nordstrom’s about 8:30 after an hour and it was pretty much gone. Still noticed it when we walked in though.

So not as cold as Arctique but lasts longer. Was pretty refreshing, it was around 100 here today.

Man, she kissed up on me last night around 10:30 before I went to bed and it was still working, and my shower this morning reactivated it. Gonna have to lessen the dosage lol

Good SOTD:
Image

This Italian Fern is an interesting scent. The soap smells like cheap laundry detergent. The Aftershave is a bit more complex, not unlike Felce Azzura products. The soap worked fine.

The razor was interesting today. Mingoose Injector. 3rd shave on this blade. It didn't feel intuitive, and I wondered if I was actually getting a good shave. Afterwards, it was a great shave.

I'm going 9/10, just because this soap didn't inspire confidence. It cured weird, then it sat on a shelf for a long time. then it smells very meh. Shaves fine though. This can go back into office storage.

Tried out a sample of Martin de Candre’s Fougere today.

The amount you need to get a full 3 pass was pretty amazing. It’s almost nothing at all.

I can see how these tubs last so fuckin long, if you’re using half a gram a shave or whatever and there’s 200 grams in there.

Got a tub of the Rose incoming, report back.

EDIT: What I started and ended a 3 pass shave with:

Did a couple few test lathers, had to get rid of the MdC sample anyway....think this one might bloom out nicely.
