I "kinda miss having a hot rod sometimes, but I kinda don't". I've had several quick/fast/loud vehicles through the years ('71Torino GT 429SCJ, 72 Nova 375HP/396, etc.) but the nostalgia is way better than the realities of living with them. Hot, loud, cantankerous money pits LOL. The car I really miss? 2005 GTO. Just enough "sport" styling to look cool, but still be overlooked by most. A true 13 second flat street car on pump gas and treaded tires with air conditioning and a leather interior. I'm old - I like my quickness with comfort

wish i would have made a sound clip, but i don't think digital cameras even did that back then

Actually, Holden - they were re-badged Australian imports from the GM subsidiary. It's the only car I ever put a personalized plate on "AUS GTO". Good, low-mileage examples are north of $25K. I should have kept it...
