Reading more about the scenario, it seems like you're just infatuated. You work with her, so you spend a lot of time around her. This is the difficult part, as time away from the person tends to eliminate the infatuation. I would be careful around her from now on, and never text her again. That was your blunder.

I don't have a problem with the guy per se.
The problem with this kind of stuff is that it generally goes like this:
1- guy starts off with a funny shtick 2- everybody laughs 3-guy keeps going 4- shit starts to get old 5- guy keeps going 6- classic HCAF pile up on the guy 7- guy goes off character, tells everyone to fuck off 8-butts get hurt left and right 9- I get home from work and instead of a having relaxing evening with my gf and son, I will have to sort through 100 posts and PMs of gooby vs. dolan.
The problem is: I don't want to sort through 100 posts and PMs of gooby vs. dolan.
So the warning is simply a preemptive measure

I think you're on to something. How about this: The wife is not paying enough attention to him because of the baby. Hence the older woman and this post, to a degree. OR, maybe some type of mommy issue. He's looking for a mommy replacement. He wants to be the baby.

It's the life changing events that did it to me. I tried so hard on the surface to seem well put together, but when my first son was born and I was adjusting to fatherhood and learning things about the kind of mother my ex-wife was that were so disappointing and frightening for me, that I ran into the EXACT same mental trap you described in the very first post.
Im not looking at other women, but the past year or two, I think some of my thoughts / fears are derived from something like a mid life crisis. It's weird when that shit hits you when your in your mid 30's .
Just kinda creeps me out how 15-16 years ago, DOESNT seem that long ago. Then start putting together what all has changed in my life (and what's changed in others) sorta fucks with me.
