Wait, I was supposed to get chips with my vaccine? fuck. I'm going back.
I felt dehydrated and tired for 2 days after my vaccine, the soreness on the arm was only for a day. On the 3rd day after my shot, I felt fine. My wife felt fine after a day.

Wife and I got ours yesterday. The city she works for ran a clinic for it’s seniors and folks over 50 even. It’s a small town so we had a turnout of about 400. Anyone that volunteered to work it also got their shots, hence why I volunteered to work. It was cool. There was a lot of people coming in that were just so happy to have that extra bit of insurance after they left. Like a big weight had been taken off their shoulders.

Italy and other European countries have halted or banned a batch of the AstraZeneca vaccine due to reports of adverse events and deaths.
https://www.aa.com.tr/en/health/italy-b ... ts/2172751https://www.aa.com.tr/en/europe/many-eu ... ne/2172440It's interesting that they're reporting that some people are developing blood clots from the vaccine. Blood clots are part of the long COVID issues.

I thought the only vaccines here are Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J.
Is AZ not available in the US?

It should be. Prior to this report is was actually the one I was projecting to be the most comfortable with

EmitBio Treatment Broadly Effective Against Coronavirus Variants"We have yet to find a coronavirus or a mutation thereof that our treatment does not kill," continued Hunter.
EmitBio™ has developed a novel, hand-held treatment device* that directs energy into the upper respiratory tract with 100% of the dose available in the area of need, thereby avoiding the possible side effects of systemic treatments. This device has been designed as an at-home treatment for mild-to-moderate COVID-19 in adults testing positive for SARS-CoV-2.
This seems like it'd be a good device to have around the house, like say a thermometer or ice pack.

That's interesting.
There's a few therapeutics, remdesivir being one of them, and another that I can't remember the name of that are promising. A study I read on NIH about remdesivir indicated that it reduced the need for hospitalizations by something high like close to 90%, and reduced the likelihood of subsequent respiratory infections almost completely. It's still being studied but isn't widely discussed yet.
But we've entered a weird place where it's almost taboo to consider that effective therapeutics exist. It's mask, social distance, and vaccine only in most people's minds with little room for anything else.

Regeneron?
That was what Trump took, right?

This is quite true.

I did the Pfizer vaccine through work. No issues with the first shot, felt like dick the morning after the second shot but it cleared up completely in the early afternoon.
They are going to begin offering a titer test to us for free to check for antibodies and I’m curious about it, but I’m a huge pussy about getting blood drawn.

He added that 5 million Europeans had received the vaccine so far of which 30 people have developed blood clots and "this does not constitute a statistical excess risk."We're at 11 million plus jabs in the uk now.
The fact is that people are going to die of totally unrelated things after having the vaccination and medically untrained people are going to jump to conclusions.

Pretty sure countries banning the batch has little to do with jumping to conclusions for unrelated issues.
Clots subsequent to a COVID vaccine actually makes some sense given that COVID causes clots in the major organs.

Ban is an incredibly heavy handed word for a temporary pause in distribution while they investigate things further, y'know it's almost like it was chosen to whip up a negative emotional response. Hmmmm.
Is the fault with the vaccine itself? Was it a problem in the transport and distribution? Could it even just be human error in administering the dose? or is it just statistical happenstance? But hey, why not wind up people and cause panic while we find out?

You don’t want a clot and you don’t want that traveling through your lungs. I had one if it doesn’t kill you i can ensure you it’ll be the most physical pain you will ever endure.

They banned a batch of the AstraZeneca vaccine and it's been several countries at this point that have noted deadly adverse effects. That's just reporting what's happening, not ginning up fear. Also I'm getting this from AP and Reuters which aren't known for being sensational publications.
It's perfectly ok to discuss such things and it's the job of the press to report on in.
Not sure if you even read the articles that were posted though. You could see it's not written to gin up fear.

If the county allows her city to do another clinic when the state opens it up further for more adults, I’ll probably work that too. If I can help in any way, I will.
