Re: Game, new, play it.
Had a blast tonight; jumped in a Discord, asked for people over 18 just to have fun. BUNCH of guys rotated in and out, we took turns running each other over, panning each other, doing motorcycle jumps, and when people showed out to bug us we killed em.
Got 5th place one time just doing that shit, was awesome.

I suck lately too tho....been playing squads and everyone wants to jump hot; seems like I die almost immediately and then to be a good sport I have to watch the rest of em play lol.
I have two other guys that if we can find time to be on together they like going more low profile; jump slightly easier areas and try and sneak for the win. I seem to do better that way...
Solo, I jump hot. Squad, with my boys IRL, always jump safe and make our way to the center of the play zone getting what we can along the way. Survive first, kill later.

Re: Game, new, play it.
depends on my mood.... sometimes I'll jump hot for shits and giggles... I got in to a fist fight with a dude two days ago and it was hilarious... I saw the guy, ignored him in favor of looking for gear then the prick punched me.... I proceeded to beat the shit outta him and chased him around the area as soon as he realized I was kicking his ass lol... eventually gave up and went back to looking for gear because I figured it would only be a matter of time before a 3rd guy all geared up showed up and killed both of us.. For the most part I do jump safe though, nothing worst than the first few attempts to get on a decent server go up in flames then right as you get in a good server you die 2 minutes in to the session lol
Re: Game, new, play it.
I always go spicy for the first few rounds just to get warmed up. I have a few favourite areas for quickly min/maxing my loot which tend to work out reasonably well and are only ever mega spicy if the plane is passing right oven them.
So I've been playing around with my settings after watching some of wackyjack101's videos. Some interesting stuff about how FOV effects sensitivity when unscoped/TPP which could throw your aim off. Also when ADS the FOV is reduced to 70 no matter what you have it set to. The main thing is that I've been knocking my sensitivity down a lot. I was using 65 for general and 50ish for scoping, which is now down to 37 and 32-35ish. Interestingly, unlike other games the sensitivity scale isn't linear so a sensitivity of 30 has 4 times the cm per degree rotation than a sensitivity of 60, so this is quite a big decrease in turning rate for me to learn. I can feel how it will be better once I've gained a bit of muscle memory and I was much more controlled with my mid range game last night. I still have a way to go to be snap accurate like I want to be though. Goddamn, i wish there was a firing range/practice mode! I'd like to drop another 5-10 clicks down yet but that will take a few sessions to feel anywhere close to natural.
Another thing is to have screen scale maxed and AA as high as possible too if your card can take it as the screen is a lot calmer when nothing is going on, making it easier to spot movement. I'm only running a 960 and can still pull a solid enough 60 fps, but maybe a 1070 is in my future haha!
Anyway, I can recommend spending half an hour out of your day watching a few of this dudes videos. He's put a lot of effort into understanding the actual mechanics of the engine and relays that in a pretty concise fashion.

Good shit zo!
Re: Game, new, play it.
Jumped in a quick solo FPP while my lady was asleep. I'd dropped in at the military base to look but she got up to get in the shower so I went to say hi. When I got back I had to make a speedy exit to make the circle on the other side of the map. I happened upon someone who was paying too much attention to looking behind them to notice them and dropped them with the DP-28 before they even knew I was there:

I was lucky enough to find a buggy and not get killed going across the bridge. I had a bust helmet and pretty much no health, but praise be, the crate was dropping in my LoS so I bolted for it in the buggy as it dropped in the north fields of Gatka. Most people had dropped on the south part of the island and military base so it was mine for the taking. I quickly looted the crate, where I got my hands on the M24 for the first time, and then moved out a click and abandoned my buggy. I set up on the edge of the fields in the bushes and waited for my first M24 target:

I then went on to catch up with the circle and just caught someone far better equipped than me in the corner of my eye. I'm trying to get the hang of full auto spray control with my new lowered mouse sensitivity but I had left my 8x on. There was no time to switch, just aim, fire, drag down and hope:

Take home message: Lower sensitivity, while more of a dickache for general moving, is way better in combat. I'd have fluffed that last kill with my usual sensitivity. Also FPP > TPP. Way more tense and no peaking!

Wow, thats bullshit. I liked the fog & rain.
Re: Game, new, play it.
They're going to bring them back once they've optimised them from what I understand. I'm pissed off too as I loved fog matches.

Yup, me too...fog and rain seemed to equalize things a bit between noobs and good players.

As I am newb, I have been dropping in to the school each time to practice killing. I went 3-2 this morning. I'm still not comfortable with my sensitivity on my scope. Working for a better tomorrow, though. Xbox is rough.

Can only imagine, looks like hell on the vids. I hope they do better for PS4; I’m gonna slaughter people in droves when it comes out.
Bout to drop in, anyone wants to get down with me this afternoon Steam ID is Ghostofamind.

Ran squads doing challenges...last one was silenced pistols only; shit was a blast. People had zero clue what we were doing or where we were shooting them from lmfao

Re: Game, new, play it.
Man...just ran two squad matches.
First one 3 of us died almost immediately...last guy went on to win the whole thing. Dude was amazing to watch, he was doing all the right things, spotting people, drinking boosts while spinning in a 360 so no one could sneak up on him etc...
Second match we picked up two new guys, then me and the winner from the last one. Dude went on to rack up like 15 kills and we won again.
Checked his stats; dude has played 18 games total, top 10 13 times with 5 wins. His K/D was like 8.90.
On the one hand I’m stoked I picked up two wins, on the other hand, fuckin cheaters....

Re: Game, new, play it.
That sounds pretty shady. In the new big patch that's in beta right now you can report players without being killed by them and also report them from the match replay system too. Was the guys replay questionable?

Re: Game, new, play it.
the Xbox version seems to be getting a little more stable, it's kinda hard to tell if it's the game messing around or if it's just my internet connection lol... played a couple solo rounds yesterday, made it to the top 10 in both...
I need to dial in my sensitivity though, I'm messing up with what should be some easy kills.... got a killer stealth kill yesterday.... I was using that suppressed 9MM sniper rifle and by a tree shooting at a guy trying to swim out to a boat... hit him a couple times but no kills.. out of nowhere a dude comes running up shooting, heard him before I saw him and I thought, well that's it for me only to realize he was shooting at the same guy I was so I jumped in to prone and as he ran past me and stopped on the beach I got the sweetest head shot to date lol...

yeah.... as far as sniper rifles go it's weak BUT... damned if it didn't work out perfect for me in that situation lol... besides being able to zoom in for the head shot dude didn't even know I was shooting at the same guy he was lol
Re: Game, new, play it.
You gotta be able to land headshots to make the VSS viable in solo. It can be killer for whipping up confusion in duo/squad though.

yeahhh... I need to jump in to some duo/squad games... just want to be a little better first so I'm not dead weight lol
