yeah, I don't mess with that shit anymore, unless it's something I can get on XBL arcade or otherwise DL for around 5 bucks. It really is pointless to buy those b-rated games for 20 bucks when you end up going right back to what you were playing before.

Normally I'd avoid it, but it was because it was a specific shop that I loved when I was younger that I haven't been to in many man years. I was surprised it was still around.

Get the Broken Steel dlc if you don't have it, highly recommended! It raises the level cap from 20 to 30, and gives you the "good" ending.

Had a good old game sesh with a couple of mates the other night on Zombie mode in COD black ops II. I thought that was probably the best part of the game to be honest...

I need to continue playing this. I starting playing it and then stopped. I really enjoyed number two, and the story in three was pretty good as I recall.

A good friend and former bandmate is WAY into RTS's, and he's been bugging me to play some of them with him. I remember those types of games being time suckers, hadn't played anything like that in a while.
Two days ago he calls me and says he's gifting me Company of Heroes thru Steam. We started a game last night around 10:30. Suddenly, it was 1AM and I had to resort to constant howitzer strikes to hurry the end of the game along.

Been playing Dark Arisen non-stop. The Bitterblack Island area is disappointingly short, but god fucking damn it is hard as FUCK, and gets harder and changes each time you play through it. I'm on my third pass currently and it is pants-shittingly intense

Still got Star Trek playing on the go. It is like a low budget gears of war with graphics that are very dated for such a big game. The Novelty of it being all Star Trek is the main draw though, and it si fun to play co-op.

I'm surprised ACM got such a bad rep. It's a pretty cool game for what it is.

Another World went on Steam for cheap early this past April, super-classic rotoscoped platformer ala Flashback from 1991, can take a lot of trial and error to get through it but once you know what to do can beat it in 45 minutes. I like how it can get an emotional response from ya even though there's no dialogue. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Another_World_(video_game)

System Shock 2 also went on Steam on May 10, never got to play this one, though I remember playing the demo a long time ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_shock_2

Stopped playing Dark Souls weeks ago, was hooked on making PVP characters. That and Demon's Souls really do it for me.

I got an itch to play Fallout: New Vegas since I never beat it, but I can't get it to install/play on my PS3 anymore. I'm done getting angry over it.

Tempted to give X-Com: UFO Defense on Steam another whirl. Played the hell out of it as a kid, but only beat it when I was an adult (and that was with abusing save/load tactics in the first half of the game). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFO:_Enemy_Unknown#Legacy

Can anyone recommend any PS3 games or Steam games that don't require strong hardware? Specifically anything that does not take too long to beat and does not have any character leveling aspects that dry hump the OCD side of my brain?

I likes to play Deus Ex, Uncharted 3 and Darksiders II. These are my favorite games to spend my time and to get entertainment for mind relaxation.
