Fail.

I've seen a few videos of her playing and she's bad ass. Even if you don't like Disturbed.

I've been occasionally sitting down on our Alesis e-kit. Drums are fun, especially when you have no clue what you're doing.

I won't watch the video though because that's not NFA

The only tricky part of playing drums is convincing your arms and feet to move at different times. I found at first I had to go super-duper slow and really concentrate to put together swing beats with the kick while maintaining a steady beat with the hihat. But once you get that down it's just a matter of keeping the metronome going and speeding things up.

If I had the ability to keep a kit set up long term, I'd think I could get to be a decent drummer. I really enjoy playing them, but don't have the room to have that be a permanent instrument for me. Unless I follow through on that threat of buying the house next door that's seemingly permanently for sale and turning it into my studio. :hmm:

The fact that you haven't already done this is disappointing af

It's been an expensive few months. Buying a second house seems . . . extraneous. Maybe, if I can save up enough for a down payment this year.

Actually, a dude did just move in a few weeks back. Based on past performance, I would guess he'll be gone in about ten to fifteen months. People keep buying the place, spending a bunch of money on upgrades, then moving out. Been going on for nearly ten years at this point. The longest anybody's lived there is about a year and a half.

Man, I'd love to buy the house next door and knock down the back fence for a megayard, blow out a few walls, build some new ones, and create a massive studio. I'm having a hard time finding $750k in the couch cushions tho.

Just move to South Dakota. For 50k you could buy Mount Rushmore, the Corn Palace, and play kissy-poo with the gov'nr.

Wear a full body condom for that last one. I've been up close to her. There's a stench coming off her that could choke a horse.
