I think they kick ass. They pull influence from obvious for their genre sources; but I think they do it well. Great musicians and killer melodic DM  Lead work is always stellar. The melodic theme of this song reminds me of Andy LaRoque and the King.

I've dug on them since Unhallowed. I thought it was going to be tough to replace Ryan Knight but new(est) guy is KILLER.

Brandon Ellis just did a play through of "Removal of the Oaken Stake" and previously did one of "Verminous". Unreal player.

Yeah Brandon Ellis is NUTS :rawk: I don't really have a favorite album. They all are about as catchy in the songwriting department as this style can be and their discography is actually pretty large considering their style.

They have some shit I dig.

Long story hopefully short, I hung with these dudes in Berlin Germany, around 05 or so! I happened to be visiting my partner in crime for my death metal band World of Shit where I went out there to finish some recordings and his other band happened to be on Metal Blade records at the time, same as BDM and that just means they get the direct supporting slot for that show. Actually was a killer show by all and the lead singer dude, was only 23 I believe at the time, I was 27, which for whatever reason surprised me. But he was having a hard time getting a beer! Haha. He’s like I thought this was the fucking Universal language as he musta asked 7 times on stage if someone could bring him a beer. Didn’t happen! Anyway afterwards, I brought him a beer and it obviously was funny a Chicago dude and band from Michigan(I thought) were hanging out in a venue in Berlin.

My buddies band at the time was sponsored by absinthe l. The REAL stuff. So they had literally cases upon cases of this shit and that was a night I was drinking straight from the bottle by nights end. I did end up naked... hahah. Not at the venue or anything but yeah once back at the place where people were partying.. You are partying good when you get naked for no reason. But over there, they are much more free anyway, so it really didn’t seem to register at all. I’m pretty sure there was other people who ended up that way too... Lolol... I don’t think the BDM dudes were there....

The song Verminous has some of my favourite riffs of new albums this year. Brandon Ellis is a beast and I love what he's brought to the band.
