Fuck that. Let’s meet up and have a fighting tournament.
I'm in. I could use a good beating. Mine or somebody else's. Don't much care.
Plus we can spread corona around! Now we're getting somewhere!

GTFO! What utter poppycock!
Bourbon for me thanks. Neat. Make it a double.
That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Scotch is where it’s at.

I do drink bourbon about 20 percent of the time
Rye or gtfo.
True story: I keep an infinity bottle. That's a bottle where you dump out the last finger or so of every bottle you get. So at one point I had a nice healthy mix of Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Old Grandad BIB, Knob Creek single barrel, Wild Turkey 101, Bulliet Rye and a few others. After it had time to sit for about a week or two that may be the tastiest whiskey/whisky I've ever had. I find getting a balance between the smokey scotches and the more caramel tasting american schmack is the secret, though I've tossed all sorts of things into that bottle over the years and it always ends up unique and tasty.
I love my single malts. Islay preferably. But Bourbon's my usual just on price.

Facts. With as contagious as this thing is, everyone will have been exposed to it by the end of the year. Its just going to be a matter of how fit/healthy you are and how your immune system is able to battle. As a 40 something healthy male with daily lung training, I'm feeling pretty good about my odds of recovery. I figure I can get exposed to it living life, or I can get it from Karen in Accounting.

Now this conversation is getting somewhere.
And now that we have tire-frying Chrysler Cordobas and Ultra Karen it has officially arrived.

But who will you pass it on to? My wife and i aren't particularly afraid of getting it but we are worried about passing it on to our medically fragile kids and parents.

I'm not being mean. I am busting balls. If we were hanging around having this conversation, you'd be able to see me laughing while I say these things
We are dealing with a complete failure at the top and it has trickled down to the point where the states have to handle it with no coordination from the CDC. All of the mixed messaging from the president down to the municipal level is causing people to panic. It's inevitable.
On top of that, people have lost a massive amount of money in the market and layoffs are starting to happen.
I'm thinking our economic hit will mostly be smaller businesses going away that don't have the resources to weather a downturn, while large multi-nationals will be able to hang on just fine and get to gloat about their massive success when the recovery starts.
I guess SoDak is now closing schools. Which is causing a cascading effect as parents have to stay home, some of them can't work from home and don't have the PTO to get paid while they stay home so they look for daycare and the major daycare places are closing too. That ripple isn't going to stop quickly. It's like a feedback loop of economic beatings. Plenty to go around.
Someone (who shall remain nameless to avoid descent in rig-talkville) is suggesting a modified temporary implementation of UBI to help combat these small-business/working class beatings and her logic is sound. Since she isn't being listened to like she should on one side of the, um; current conversation; I fully expect this suggestion to stay ignored. Which is too bad.
the larger companies might get by but they will do it by cutting back hours on their hourly workers. we are fully expecting our mortgage delinquencies to go up by a lot.
hotels, airlines, music and sports venues, cruises, etc... will all be impacted.

It's a very legitimate conversation that needs to be had. Even without the specter of a pandemic.
