I love it too.
We were supposed to have cars like this 20 years ago - at least Elon is bold enough to actually make one.

I find it odd that there are no mirrors - wonder if that will make it to the production model.

I think this is the greatest automobile reveal ever. I think it's the coolest looking car ever made.

BTW, I think the new VW bus looks awesome as well. I want both.

I love it. I want it. The video says $40k for single motor, $50k for dual and $70k for triple to get the 2.9s 0-60 time.

The rims are stupid though. They don't appear as though they'll work with a standard tire machine. I doubt those would make it into production.

Did they forget to tell him the prototype didn't get the shatter proof glass in time for the reveal?

FWIW, I like it in general, but it's not the type of vehicle I'd want to have as a daily driver.

The Roadster is still in development, and costs $500,000. The Cybertruck, as a person who drives a pickup truck for work, is intriguing to me. I loves me that 500+ mile range, which is on par with trucks now, but there are a few concerns that weren’t addressed at last night’s reveal (which I streamed live):

1. Hitting a panel with a sledge hammer doesn’t prove anything - I need to know how tough the drivetrain is. A truck that can’t be used on rocks, gravel, mud or concrete is useless. Basically, it needs to handle the landscapes of the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Russia and China, which are all different.
2. I don’t like the lack of customization of the bed, which is important.
3. How does it do, with regards to rust?

Other than that, it’s a funky design, and I might actually buy one.

Apparently the price is coming down. Only $200,000 now! Hell, at this rate they'll start nudging into the luxury auto price range.

I guess that was the Founder’s edition. I assume it’s in development, because I can’t order one on their website yet.

Correction: It’s $250,000. that’s still a lot of money.
