Dave's special? Ridiculous. Just got done with Burr's new special and I'm in tears. F*cking HILARIOUS. The end bit was masterful in multiple ways. Watch it!

I've never seen a comedian capture the complexities of male emotional processing (or lack thereof? ) in such a perfect way

"Where is this all coming from?!?!?"

Dude came in brutal and sustained it. Rant comedy usually burns bright as f then fades out quick but Burr has kept it going for a long stretch. Again;

I enjoy the podcasts (in YT chunked out bits) but I don't like him as a standup really at all for some reason :idk:

Yeah I watched both specials this week. Loved them. Burr and Chapelle are really the top guys at the moment.

Rogan can be funny too but he's certainly better at podcast/interviewing and not near the level of Burr or Chapelle as a comedian.

I did. She loved it. She's smart (duh :lash: ) and knows he's not talking about her "demographic" It definitely anti-feminist. And like Chappelle he hits some great notes on the metoo. And it's funny as hell. I will say I could see someone not so, um; secure? in themselves being put off or someone who is easily offended...it's really hard to say. I'm old enough where I want my comedy to have offensive qualities that require a little bit thicker skin :D

She was out of town when I watched Chappell’s but she watched Burr with me last night. Laughed as hard as I did; she’s completely down on the whole #metoo shit so that stuff just killed her.

Yeah, no issues with her. We also went to see Burr live last year when we were still in Vegas. She actually bought the tickets, it was my bday gift.

At the "performs in large theatres or arenas" level maybe. Louis CK was there too till he got metoo'd.

I've been watching this guy a lot lately, he puts out a ton of material and it's all pretty good

Just went and saw Burr here in Vegas last friday. AMAZING! Me, my wife and our son went. Was awesome. Have never seen a live come show except Impractical Jokers which really isn't standup.

I have only heard out takes of Chappelle and it was funny as hell, I have not seen Burr most recent but much of his stuff is hilarious. Rogan is more of a podcast interviewer type recently but he has some moments in standup = but agreed NOT on Burr or Chapelle s level

They actually seem to "dare" the TWITTERTARDS in the audience to come at them

Imagine some old comedians trying to deal with todays environment :bring:
^ Good deals with Glizard (ADA), electricdreams (Vetta) Fat Lou (Splawn) Tubesteakfortone (Marshall 3203, Riot pedal) agreed (Hafler-Radial) twisty571 (Mosvalve 962) Orbis Mortis (egnater) ~Abstract~ (JC amp) jn062181 (AXE - FX) ^

Yeah, Rogan is GREAT at podcast, & I like some of his standup, but it seems too... forced or something these days. I think hes too close to the ground to be very very comedic.
Burr has been my favorite for maybe 4-6 yrs.
Dude is head first, think later. Screw it!
But he IS a thinker. His sit-down with Rogan was really good. He has no fucking HOLD-BACKS.
This special was a little more gritty, but his earlier stuff was maybe funnier in a way, depending on your view.
He hits on the stupid realities, & THAT is why its funny.

Rogan's podcasts are unintentionally hilarious in a has been reality tv star sort of way.

Loved it. Maybe my favorite Burr special honestly.

Chappelle was good too. Not his best work, but hilarious.
