She fought her heart out. But in the end, she couldn't beat it this time.

You're all in my prayers, man. My Mom died 18 months ago, and it still hurts. She was the only person on this Earth who truly understood me. Do everything you can for her and spend as much time as you can with her.

Thanks guys. This year and in particular, the last few months have been a slow walk through hell. The thought of life without her just takes my breathe away.

Stay as close as you can. Mom is 81 and this is the first time I have been genuinely terrified that we are going to lose her. To all of you that can, call your parents and talk to them. Doesn't matter what you chat about. Just enjoy the sound of their voices. Even better, take them out to eat or just go visit them.

Best wishes dude. I lost my mum in may, after several years of illness and 18 months in a care home, I'm only just getting my shit together. I feel your pain dude. Hoping for the best.

She is showing some signs of improvement today. But we're still riding the razor's edge. The dr. seems optimistic that she may get out of icu today or tomorrow. But I am trying not to get my hopes up. Which is hard.
