Lady in Red

Post by BroSlinger »

I used to play this live. When he whispers "I love you", i used to whisper, "I hate you..." :(

Also, on Jesse's Girl, when he yells "TELL ME!" after the solo, I go "KILL ME!"

CHEEK TO CHEEK

I hate that song. That being said; you probably sang it flawlessly. Solo on Jessie's Girl is some killer Neil Geraldo sh!t.

Chris DeBurgh is like Christopher Cross, where he had the most success with his worst songs.

That song and Red Red Wine makes me physically nauseous.

Not exaggerating, I literally feel sick listening to both of them. :bang:

I dive for the button on the radio when that red red wine shit comes on. Can't turn it off fast enough.

We get it. Some people like wine.

Lady in Red always makes me think of Who's Gonna Drive you Home.

Also for some reason it makes me think of Been Around the World and Ayeayeaye and I Will be Right Here Waiting for You.

Why do you hate Afro-Caribbean music?

Totally :freak: Drive by the Cars is awesome. Lady in Red is about as asexual of a song as it gets. Even though it's intentions are the exact opposite of that.

I feel so unsure
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
As the music dies, something in your eyes
Calls to mind the silver screen
And all its sad good-byes
I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
Should've known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I've been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend
To the heart and mind
Ignorance is kind
There's no comfort in the truth
Pain is all you'll find
I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool

That's a good call. I have the album LIR comes from, and every single track on the album is about 100x superior to it. :freak:

Plus his unplugged electric tone... well... it exists.
