Anyone else here use Bare Knuckles?

Post by Elessar [Sly] »

I love BKP's, they have such a great sound. Here is what I have:

Ibanez S series: Nailbomb (Bridge), trilogy suit, Cold Sweat (Neck)
MIJ '89 Fender Strat: Mother's Milk set
In my custom jag being made atm: Set of Crawlers with coil tap.

Anyone else here use them?

I also have Duncans and Fralins.

I want to get a Cold Sweat bridge for my Lag, and possibly a Pile Driver for the Tele that's on its way. I have to hear the original pickups first.
And I also think I want an Aftermath for my Schecter 7-string. I actually love how it sounds right now, so it's only curiosity that makes me want to swap. The Lag has a Tone Zone in there now, and after I swapped the original all maple neck for a Warmoth Rosewood/Ebony one, the TZ is a little too undefined.

The cold Sweat is a great pickup. I haven't tried any of the Tele pickups yet.

Tim suggested nailbombs for a custom Jag project I have going on, but I've gone with Crawlers. The Nailbomb in the bridge of my Ibanez sounds epic though!

BKP user here.

I have a set of BKP Emerald in my LP (the one in my avatar)

They're kinda like an overwound PAF but they roll off really well to allow for a lower output type tone as well.

Nearly changed the Crawler's to Nailbombs! But I think I'll stick with Crawler's in the custom Jag.

I have an Aftermath in my Les Paul. I dig it I think, but I haven't had a chance to really put it through its paces as I'm at an apartment.

I had painkillers in my ninja for about 6 months or something like that. They were ok, but ended up grating on my ears...a little too harsh sounding for me. Ended up swapping for some MCP hellbabies, played those for a couple years, then went to EMGs for the band, and now I can get enough of the dimarzio dominion in that guitar.

I have a Pig90 in my SG. It's a really beefy, dark P90. Plenty tight and still has a bit of that P90 snarl. It's quite unique.

This is a P90 I'd love to try out, and I'm not a P90 man.
