I think I've been burned by being on the outside of long side of the circle too many times on Mirimar which just leads to 10 minutes of running, and inevitably being shot by someone who dropped more centrally. It's less of an issue on Erangle but I think it will promote more tactical play and on the whole less camping since the safe time is reduced.

gotcha...... Haven't played on Mirimar as yet since it hasn't come to Xbox, suppose to launch next month.... so if that's the case then I get it...

You should hopefully get the updated mirimar with more stuff in the north. The mid game is pretty slow compared to Erangle as the good loot areas are quite far apart and there is not much cover between them. This means that 60% of the server has died by the end of the first circle because of hot dropping and those who don't hotdrop and get lucky with a kar and 8x will mince anyone leaving the hot drop areas on foot. Sowing the first circle in the plane and the new circles should iron that out a bit.

Yeah that's my sunday blown

They've rolled back the circle changes from live:

Good evening,

Yesterday we released an update that included some drastic changes to the delay and speed of our blue zones in each phase of the game. Your reactions to this change have been mixed, but we’ve ultimately decided to roll back this change and return to the drawing board. We feel there are some necessary changes we need to make to the blue zone, but we want those changes to be subtle in the spirit of finding the right balance.

Our current schedule for this rollback is unclear, but we anticipate that it will happen in the next 4-8 hours. Please note that this rollback will not require any downtime.

Thank you for all the feedback you’ve given us regarding this change. We appreciate it!

I'm addicted to this game lately and I have to travel for a few weeks for work I'm so bummed about not playing. I'm consistently making it into top 10 without much killing. I just immediately head to the center of the first circle and find mofos to kill. That usually takes me to the final zone.

My bud is held up in work. Playing on war mode on your own is a bit of a clusterfuck, especially if the one of the other teams has a good bunch playing and communicating.

Yup, best thing to do is see if you can take a building and hold it. Usual crap, listen for doors, watch for grenades, watch windows for kills.

One thing I noticed was that people get bent and keep dropping the same area to try and kill you if you take em out; I must have killed this one guy like 8 times before he got me lol

Not cool that the blue damage for the end circles is increased, we don’t need to die any faster lol

Also not cool that it’s going to stay in the center; everyone will just camp the middle.

You gotta be fuckin kidn........

Savage map up on the Closed server. Good time for solos, lame if you don’t have a squad; tried it out with my duos buddy and we just kept getting assholes for teammates. Everyone wants to drop hot and we’d all just die immediately. I fuckin rage quit after about 6 games lol

I think I’m gonna dig that one once they introduce duos tho; it’s pretty small and the mid game that’s slower on other maps is considerably shorter, I like that a lot. Whole match lasts about 15 minutes.

New event mode: https://steamcommunity.com/games/578080 ... 2649656765

This week’s event mode is an eight-man battle royale on Erangel. The twist? You can use flare guns to call down huge, heavily-armored UAZs.

Check below for the full details, and let us know what you think about this mode!

EVENT SCHEDULE
STARTS: April 19, 7pm PDT / April 20, 4am CEST / April 20, 11AM KST
ENDS: April 22, 7pm PDT / April 23, 4am CEST / April 23, 11AM KST

AVAILABLE QUEUES
8-Man Squads on Erangel (All Regions)
NA/EU/AS/SEA/OC : TPP & FPP
KR/JP/SA : TPP

FLARE GUN RULES
Flare guns spawn randomly alongside normal loot locations (flare gun spawn spots are no longer fixed)
When shot inside the safe zone (white circle), special care packages will be dropped
When shot outside the safe zone, a special vehicle—the armored UAZ—will be dropped

OTHER EVENT RULES
This mode is limited to eight-man squads on Erangel, and you can invite up to seven friends.
Auto-matching can be turned on or off (you don’t have to play as a full squad of eight if you don’t want to)
The mode is limited to 96 maximum players (12 teams of eight players)
Redzone is enabled
Regular care package drops are enabled
Killer spectating is enabled
Bluezone rules are the same as standard public match settings
Weather changes dynamically throughout each match

Oh, and they're adding map selection: https://steamcommunity.com/games/578080 ... 2645744467

Looks like Xbox is finally getting access to the Test server with the Miramar map and the new guns that come with it from next week. Of course, I'll be in Vegas for Ampfest next weekend lol... fuckin' typical lol

I wouldn't worry too much. The reason everyone has been bitching about getting map selection is so they can skip Mirimar

yeah.. I can see the single player being great in that.... nice fast paced games.... but I like the slow to medium pace of the large maps for multiplayer.... more strategy and less run and gun
