Behringer U-Phoria worth it?
I'm looking to start recording stuff on the PC and was wondering if this stuff is worth it. the Focusrite Scarlett seems to be the go to for most people but I'm not sure I want to drop $150 on it, I know it comes with a lite version of protools and the behringer comes with traktion. Would it be worth saving a few bucks and going with the behringer or should I save up for the focusrite?

only thing i can say is that focusrite customer service is righteous, and they do their best to update drivers, and will call y' back. dunno bout behringer. hardware's probably not super dissimilar.. but support can be really helpful if you aren't willing to do the digging.

Focusrite make good stuff. The behringer appears to use the asio4all driver from what I can see, which is basically a cludge driver to use any sound device as an ASIO interface.
The scarlett solo can be had for $99 new and no doubt near half of that used. What speakers will you be using out of interest?

I own the Behringer and it works great. It has it's own drivers and does not use Asio4all unless you want to. Their drivers are really low latency and work great.
You cannot beat it for the money and if you do not need extended features then I would suggest the U-Phoria.
For support, they have a forum which seems to suffice but I have not had to use support since the unit installs easily with the drivers.
I own the UMC202-HD and got it for $59 and is the best spent money on my recording setup.

I've had the Scarlett 2i2 and Scarlett 18i20.
They've both been excellent.
I would just get something that a lot of people have used successfully. They're not THAT expensive.
I would just be afraid of Behringer because Behringer.

Tascam has some interfaces around that price range that come with Cubase.
