I usually don't care about reaction vids, but I LOVED these.

I felt like I was listening to these songs for the first time again, and it got me super pumped up. Like the guy said, I was sweating listening to Holy Wars.

Holy Wars is pretty fuckin incredible with fresh ears. Haven't listened to any of this stuff in like a decade.

Could you imagine these guys with some Dimmu Borgir or Cannibal Corpse?

Yes, I've been watching these vids for a week or so now. Cool stuff...though sometimes I think they play up the "newness" as they have heard some of it before. Great channel though

EXACTLY what I thought - it's like going to a place or seeing something that I grew up with, and seeing it again for the first time through my kids. I love it!

Its hard to imagine anyone NOT having heard these, ya know? It DOES take you back to a refreshed point of view!
I remember first hearing Master of Puppets. I also remember getting into Megadeth RIP... my favorite album by them, & one of my all time favorite albums.

I totally remember hearing Master of Puppets for the first time, the day it came out. Me and my brother were listening to it in my room, trying to come to grips with the incredible sounds we were hearing.

Watching these guys' reactions totally puts me back there.

I bought Ride the Lightning the day it came out. It had that impact on me. Me and my buddy didn't really know what to say, or do. Changed things.

I was a bit late to the party - my brother exposed me to Ride the Lightning a few months later, and I laughed at him for listening to brainless speed metal shite, and went back to my Maiden, Sabbath, and Priest albums. I heard him listening to the album a little while later, and Call of Ktulu hooked me... hard... A short time later, we'd burned that poor record out, and found Kill 'em All.

You're right, HV - everything suddenly changed.

Just thinking back Im not sure I remember the timeline...
Id heard of Metallica, but there was sooooooo much buttrock going on that you really werent hearing much of the great stuff. There was NO INTERNET... so you heard about things by some offbeat radio-show, word of mouth, magazines, or stumble upon it.
I think I heard Kill Em All first, & really dug it, but I was into a lot of stuff. I think I got into Garage Days around the same time as Master. I was actually MORE into Garage Days, just DUG the fuckin raw GUTS. Plus Master had a stiffness to the productions that has always put me off a little.
AJFA was just BADASS, & is probably STILL my favorite Metallica.

I SAW this! Great stuff! & who could deny.. I mean, ANY point in time, thats some serious songwriting. Production is strong too, but you can pit the songwriting against anything & its a KILLER.

I've heard that song hundreds, if not thousands of times, to the point where I just take it for granted (as with much of the early Sabbath catalog). It's when I've been away from it for a while that the magic happens Almost like hearing it again for the first time, as with these guys. So much awesome.
