She's A Giant Softy

Post by Steinmetzify »

Latest project:

Daughter's friend found this in a parking lot at their school; didn't know what to do and brought it to her (we have 4 cats). Barely a couple days old...still had the umbilical cord attached, no mother to be found. There was no discussion, P told her to bring it home and we'd make sure it had a chance. She bought some formula, made it a box and it's basically been attached to one or the other of us for the last couple days.

She's strong and got some heart, I think she's going to make it.

That's awesome! I hope she makes it. You guys are great for doing that.

Our last cat was dropped on the side of the road by some asshole, with two siblings at about 2 weeks old. The other two didn't make it. Two and a half years later, he's a big black ball of love.

you might be able to find a temp foster home that has a momma , give her a few more weeks there and then go back and get her .

Doing good Scott...sleeping, eating a ton....she started solid pooping and that's a good sign. Started purring this morning too! P is getting tired. She's had the last couple days off and been basically sleeping around the 2 hour feeding schedule at night. My turn starts this weekend.

oh great news!

mine is off to get laser treatment this afternoon on a wound she has... we're not sure how she got the initial injury but it grew in to a massive abscess and she had to get it lanced last week Monday.... all of last week and the weekend she was rocking the cone of shame... was not a happy kitty...

thanks.. she's doing fine now... we were worried because she had a slight fever and wasn't eating on her own... but last night after having the cone off for the day her whole vibe changed... started eating again, tail in the air, sleeping in the bed again.... long and short... she hates the cone of shame lol

here's a pic of her going in for laser treatment on Monday...

when my wife sent the pic I busted out laughing.... a kitty with welding googles isn't something I see every day
