The thing that gets me, is how in the hell is Jim Gillette going to perform the old songs? He was pushing his limits when he was in his early 20s. Would he still be able to hit those notes now?
I hated this band back in the day and still will, even with Adler on the kit If I want ridiculous shredding and OTT everything; Racer X 10 times out of 10.
I am hesitant to post this as I just sat through every nauseating second of this steaming pile. Obviously; I thought I would share with you guys This is some Murdoch level sh!t
Here's Jim, Batio about a year ago. Jim is definitely not hitting the super high stuff until the very last bit but who knows... I saw them way back when and all the background vocals were tracks but he was killing it on the main vox.
I...have no idea what the hell is going on with that. Why Chris Adler and Victor Wooten signed up for that is beyond me. Must have been some good money.

My question is who has the good money to pay those guys to come in? Does Batio (who for all intents and purposes comes across as a really cool guy in all the instructional vids I have seen him in) make that much money doing Dean clinics? Seems odd. It's not like this crap is going to sell a ton and generate any income

I am guessing Chris is doing just fine in his current projects and must know Batio. more of a "yeah bud, I'll jam with y'all..." Let's be honest, Chris is super respected and will add some credibility to the project. I have no idea who the bassist is to be honest.

Believe it or not, there are PLENTY of Nitro/Batio fans that will eat this up. Nitro was quite popular when they came out where I lived. Batio still gets paid to show up and play around the world. He may not be worth millions but I am sure he is scratching out a decent living.
This will not be a payday for anyone though, I agree there. This will get the most exposure through Apple Music/Spotify/etc.
The style I associated with Nitro (back in the day) would make me pick up something like Racer X instead. Same sort of OTT speed and light metal/hard rock stuff, but just way more to my tastes. Batio seems really cool and Victor Wooten is just stupidly good. I didn't even know he was part of this till I dug a little bit.

While I can appreciate the attempt to really bring the metal this time, It just comes across sounding so generic in the end to me Lamb of Avenged finger death punch
They have a Go fund me type page asking for Like $125,000 or so to finish the recording of the other 9 songs
^Yeah; I posted that vid up a bit. Absolutely atrocious on every level. The comedy video, otoh; was pretty d@mn funny The part about them wanting to have always been a brutal metal band, I am assuming; is part of the comedy routine too
