This is my favorite Incubus song of all time. Just a great song and it crosses genre boundaries. Your moms and grandmoms could probably get down with this. I've used this song to up my smash game several times. It's a wide net.

I first heard of Einziger or whatever his name is on the early Fiona Apple stuff. He was a session cat for a while I think on the LA scene. I saw Incubus open up for Black Sabbath and Pantera in 98 at the Alamodome. They were touring on fungus amongus or however it's spelled or maybe it was right as science was coming out or right before (I don't have their discography memorized) and I actually kinda dug it......although they got booed by all the old stoners at the show. Their other albums I've heard obviously because you'd have to live in a cave not to have heard them if you were high school or college age at the time. I don't really care for them but they are talented and write really well.

Yeah Mike, that song kicks all kind of ass even now.

My first Incubus show was when the opened for Phunk Junkeez (anybody remember them???) and it was in Louisiana in '97. Me and my buddy drove up, watched them tear up a killer set after the release of SCIENCE. Then while Phunk Junkeez headlined, we hung out with the entire band for a few hours shooting the shit while Brandon drew weird symbols in the dirt with a stick  Their old DJ, DJ Lyfe, gave us copies of the vinyl he used to scratch and the whole band signed them. Then we drove all the way back to Austin that same night after the show and ate Waffle House on the way back. Man, i miss such carefree days where you could do that on a whim.

Pretty much this, though to be honest I haven't listened to much of Morning View or any albums past that. I used to be pretty huge in to them though

I like them both but was never die hard for either. I haven't heard all of their stuff but what I have heard from the rock version of Incubus is that they were really talented. The singer was great, He could stay mainstream without being too whiny, nasally or sounding like a sheep which are the three major factors of why I typically dislike those mainstream bands BUT incubus was pretty cool.

Two thumbs up.

Anyway, here is the REAL Incubus :cop:

I was just thinking about this, hadnt heard em in a long time, but i had em on the other day. Theyre a good band. I liked Science a lot.

My main complaint is that later, they didnt belt out any hard stuff. AND the singer... Hes good, but he gets on my nerves after a while... too much vocal, give the instruments a little space.

So somehow I fucked my memory up really bad at some point. I don't know why I had it burned in my mind that Mike had done session stuff for Fiona Apple. I guess I drank and smoked too much in my twenties.........

Only know what I hear on the radio, but I think Megalomaniac is a cool song, and the guitar player(s) and drummer are great.
