Gretting from Houston, TX
Hello, new guy from Houston, TX. Been playing for about 30+ years and gigging for around 25. Played in an original band for 21 years and got to open for some cool national acts along the way but now I play an Ozzy tribute and I'm having a blast doing it. Get to do some cool festival gigs and House of Blues shows. Got about 20 guitars and a couple of 5153 halfstacks are my main glass of choice. I've currently gone to the digital darkside with Fractal, Kemper and the Atomic Amplifier. At the moment gigging with the AX8 direct and my lower back loves me again. I love talking about gear and look forward to being apart of the GAB community.

Welcome to GAB bishop!
Sounds like you'll fit in here just fine, once you post some pics of that collection.

Welcome, sir! You'll find plenty of tube amp folks here as well as people who rock the ol' ones and zeroes. There are a couple of us from H-town here, probably a dozen from Austin...and one asshole from Dallas.

"If there was only a way that I couldn't even any less than I already can't then I'd gladly not, but I think I've entered some quantum paradox, dark matter levels of can't evening where the total absolute value of not evenness exceeds all ability to explain the can'ting." - MR RUBATO

Re: Gretting from Houston, TX
Guess I should put up a few pics.
Need to update this family photo. Sold a few and bought a few since I took it. The Wolfgang and Ivory RR Jackson are gone and have been replaced with a newer RR Jackson with a gold Floyd, a David Gilmour black replica Strat and a blacked out gothic Epiphone SG. Also a pic of the guitars I use in my Ozzy tribute.

There's a shot of my wet/dry/wet setup with black G-System, Kemper and Axe-Fx setup at home and the AX8 and XiTone wedges I'm currently using to gig with.

Ya, as you can tell by the guitars I'm most definitely a child of the 80's.

Re: Gretting from Houston, TX
Amps are collecting dust now. I've got the AX8 running direct to FOH sounding just like the halfstacks mic'ed up going through the PA. So for now anyway the amps collect dust. It's just to easy with the AX8. With the XiTone wedges in stereo as my backline, one behind me cranked and the other behind my bass player on the other side of the stage I still get that amp/cab feel behind me onstage. I had lower back surgery about 2 years ago. 25 years of loading in and out 4x12 cab's finally caught up with me I guess. Hopefully this setup can let me have a few more years of fun.

Welcome to GAB man....if you're the guy I think you are from another forum, throw up those Ozzy gig vids using the AX8, cause those things rule.

Re: Gretting from Houston, TX
Sounds like the vids will start a discussion about your AX8 and stage gear so, you should post them in "Amps, Guitars & Gear".
If you want to start a discussion about your music, Ozzy and Black Sabbath, post the vids in "Music"
