I am very fortunate to have grown up in an environment that was completely DIY, and to have been able to learn skills that not only allow me to fix / build things around the house, but also applies to my career in many ways. Making sure my sons learn and appreciate those skills is a big part of my job at home. I believe that they will each inherit different strengths, that week apply to their own futures. It's an awesome thing to experience :thu:

Wow - didn't realize how long I'd put this on hold...

Things got kinda busy back in May with the Vegas GABfest, school year-end, and now it's gotten HOT out here. Hard to get the motivation to go out and sweat in 110+ degree heat. Hoping it'll be a little cooler this coming weekend, so I can get my newest acquisition set up.

Ta-da - used Random Orbital Spindle Sander from Craigslist. Got it for $100 (new ones go $200 + tax), and it appears to be fully functional :thu:

This will see considerable use when I get back to guitar making. Might try cranking out some templates this weekend. We'll have to see...
