Gonna try and do a 40 mile ride tomorrow or Sunday. We'll see. My goal is to get a minimum of 50 over the 3 day weekend. I think I can get more.

Sounds like a fun time though.

It was brutal indeed. Pretty sure I ate about 3 days worth of calories after that race.

neck surgery almost 3 weeks ago. no biking until december. i can lift but can't risk any trauma, such as a bike wreck. it is killing me.

SuperFlyinMonke wrote:Yeah, thieves suck. It's a nice concession to the fact that I've been out of a bike for the last 4 weeks of summer. I'm glad I was able to get one before they brought in the 2016s because I wouldn't have been able to buy the same frame for the same price. The 2016s have the same modulus frame, but are disc brakes, so they're far more expensive.
Now that I'll have the bones for a holyshit bike, I can get wheels in the future to push it over the edge. At this point, it doesn't seem to need anything. I'm hoping it does come in this week and that it stays nice outside so I can go for a cruise.

Happy for you, getting a cool bike doesn't make up for the fact that thieves suck, but at least you're gonna be back in action dude!
Last night's MTB singletrack ride was hard. I rode with a club group, and some of those guys are really fast.
Nothing like shooting drop/climbs 30-40 feet each, 12 in a row, super steep and rooty with someone 18 inches off your back tire. Scary at times. Fun though. Today is a rest day, then road ride tomorrow.
