Therapy?

Post by Ruiner »

Wow, I haven't heard the name Therapy? for ages and ages and saw a post about them about to come out with a new album that is supposed to be a sequel to 1994's Troublegum. I used to listen to that album nonstop the first couple years of high school. Anybody remember these guys?

I guess they've always been around because they're on their fourteenth album.

This was just a big time throwback for me and was curious if anyone else on GAB used to listen to this Irish band?

"The world is fucked and so am I"

Just listened to the first few songs off that 1994 album and it all just came rushing back. So funny.

Dude, you are reading my mind. I just saw this on Blabbermouth. Troublegum is one of the best albums ever. So frigging catchy and pretty rockin'; especially for what I would consider dark pop-punk. The lyrics are teen-angsty; but I could always look past it as the songwriting was so good. Their next album was excellent as well.

Loved Troublegum. Very excited about this. Haven't really liked any of their albums after it.

The mix and tones on this are pretty damn awesome though: (even if it's a bit "we're trying to be Faith No More Lite")

one of my favourite bands, I have seen them live many times and met them. I was even in a magazine interview about the back in 94.

One of the gigs I saw was at the brixton Academy back in 95, and the brixton riot was kicking off outside. It was a bit of a scary moment stepping outside and seeing cars on fire and police helicopters circling the area.

I recommend the BBC sessions album, fantastic stuff.
