All I know is that Deafheaven is a post-rock band that mixes black metal with their sound, and that I want to fight those douchebags.

Well, I don't have the first clue when it comes to post anything but I do like Mogwai.

And that Isis album was pretty cool. I listened to it for about 30 minutes.

Oh, and this -- it has my all-time favourite fuzz/wah tone. (Comes in at 0:40)

I liked Dead Meadow when I first heard them but they get old really fast. It all starts to sound the same to me.

Listen to the riff at 1:48 on this Rush song (i marked it)...... what song and band does it sound like? (people reading this thread will probably pick it out)

and since no one is playing the game.... the answer is Tool - Lateralus. It's crazy! Obviously Rush is a huge influence on Tool but the riff is almost identical!! Just something that was shown to me last night that I thought was pretty interesting.

woah that is really close
