NAD

Post by sleewell »

Picked up this bad boy yesterday for 335 bucks and Dolf's old eqd dream crusher.

Vtm 60 w matching peavey 412 w g12k 85s. It's loud as fuck. Sounds really good though and is in great shape.

Were going to move drums to the other side of room so wall of amps can continue

You paid that for the full stack? If so that is an awesome deal! If that was the price for the head, still not bad.

I would love to try one of those older Peavey heads out some day.

$335 + the dream crusher for the head and cab. i kinda felt bad for the kid, sort of. he was 21 or 22. he played in hs but not in college. by the looks of his apartment, which was one of the nicer ones near campus, his family was rich and he just wanted beer money. i could tell he was second guessing his decision as we were loading it up but oh well - we all do stupid stuff in college. the ad was on CL for quite some time and finally lowered the price so i jumped on it.

Damn that was a good deal! It sucks because when I see those kind of deals locally I usually don't have the extra cash or the item isn't something that I wouldn't buy...

Paul - that was originally yours?!? that is funny.

Elessar - the mako is still home for my current project. i am warming up to the fish and would like to gig with it to save space but its hard when the mako just feels so right. i got the vtm yesterday, played it for about an hour and then had band practice with the mako lol. i have a side project that is basically just a blooze jam where i play the fender. the classic 50 is my bandmates.

Dave - that would be so awesome, i think we both would have enormous grins but would be saying "what" a lot afterwards hahahhahaha

happy new amp day! I want that cab. I used to have a VTM120 and cab and I loved both. The cab was much more something I was into than the head ultimately. But cranking it to high hell with an LPB-1 boosting was most of the tone for the album Confused Little Girl did right before Southern Gentlemen.

As far as I know it was only a cosmetic difference.
