Gig video turns out not bad

Post by Cirrus »

Usually people video us in gigs and it's totally terrible - distorted sound etc. Am quite pleased with this one that someone put on youtube - the sound guy did a great job and it seems the camera could take the volume.

I love good sound men.

This is my AC100cph through Vox 2x12 with V30 and Gold. IIRC only the gold was Mic'd up but where the camera is I'm betting there's stage sound mixed in.

Think I need to put less vibrato on the slide solo next time - it sounded good at the time but it's obviously too much here!

Yeah, I think so. I didn't notice any camera on my side while I was playing so guess it must have been!

I like it, and your amp sounds great. You will probably think I'm crazy, but I feel like I hear some Tom Petty influence in there. Specially in the chorus.

Yeah I actually liked that a fair bit, but I don't think your band's image matches your sound. Good song and vocals though.

Cheers :D I'll take the Tom Petty reference. I've only got "Full Moon Fever" but there are some awesome tracks on that.

Our image is at all times as accidental as it is tragic. How would you expect us to look if you'd only heard the audio? I think this song is probably the most pop-rock influenced one in the set.
